If you could select 6 games, 3 of fri and 3 on sat and place matchups regardless of class for the 6 games, what would be your dream matchups? Here's the ones I'd love to see:

 

1) St X vs Highlands

2) Ft Campbell vs Boyle Co

3) LCA vs Mayfield (may actually get this one)

4) Trinity vs S.Kenton

5) Lone Oak vs B.Green

6) John Hardin vs Bell Co

 

IMO, couldn't get much better than that..

3. Boyle County vs Lone Oak

4. Central vs Somerset

5. Ft. Campbell vs Prestonsburg

6. LCA vs. Beechwood (because I am a Beechwood fan, otherwise I would say Mayfield)

While a Highlands-Saint X game has the appeal of pitting the top-ranked teams in 5A and 6A (at least they are the top-ranked teams RIGHT NOW), I would actually like to see a Highlands-Boyle County game. I think Boyle County is a team that has been flying under the radar for "best team in KY" consideration this year, despite being a very good team and currently ranked first in 4A.

 

From what I've read on BGP I may get my wish in a few years, since it sounds like Highlands may be playing in 4A (presumably with Boyle County) in the next year or two.

About like the Belfry / Highlands meetings in the old 3A. Of course the stories of the "game" still lives on Pond Creek and in Highlands crawl.:scared:

When these two meet up it has also been a very competitive match up. Goes all the back to the 1991 Thoroughbred Bowl,1992 Turkey Bowl, 1993 Thoroughbred Bowl and so on. These games have always came down to the fourth quarter if my memory serves me right. Others may be able to elaborate more.

A 4A class that would likely have Boyle County/Bell County/Lexington Catholic and Highlands on one side of the bracket is very appealing...........
