Me? I think that Fort Campbell takes this one, not as easily as they did against Caldwell County, but they take it nonetheless. I don't think that Trigg has the athletes to hang with this very athletic, talented and smart Falcon team. The Falcons offense is just too good and their defense is stingy.

I'd normally start this poll on Monday, but I'll be out of town....so I started it today. :)

Big FC

FC keeps rolling against Trigg. Trigg County has done a very nice job turning their season around and replacing a lot of recent stars lost via graduation. Watch for Trigg to be a power in the West next season.

Trigg has been a thorn in the Falcons side for quite some years now and I do not underestimate them. At the same time, I do not think that they are in the same league as FC and the Falcons will win 42-14, yes I think that trigg can be the THIRD team to score twice on FC this year.

Here we go again......I should have made this a public poll because it's really silly that someone takes the time to come on here, vote for Trigg (not knockin' the vote) and doesn't have the commond decency or the courage to say why they think Trigg will beat FC (that's what I'm knockin').

I don't have a problem with anyone who votes in a poll but doesn't comment in the thread. I usually take the time to vote in a bunch of polls but dont comment in the thread.

 

I think Fort Campbell will have more success reaching the corner running the football than they will up the middle. Trigg's defense has gotten better against the run in recent weeks. I think Fort Campbell's ability to line up Turner in the slot along with Moreno, Allen, and Powell will give Trigg's defense some fits.

 

With Trigg mainly running the football, I'm curious to see if the Falcons decide to sell out with 8-9 in the box or if they play straight up.

Whether you say it is your intention or not, that is exactly what you are doing. Especially when you do not demand with the same fervor that those who vote for your team (Ft. Campbell) have to explain themselves.

Trigg and FC have usually play in regular season until this year. This rivalry has been a very emotionally charged match up for some time. This game shows a lot of emotion and outstanding effort on the part of both teams to make great plays.

I do see that Trigg will have trouble keeping up with the FC offense averaging 54 points per game. Trigg's deffense allows 17 points per game and they will really have to turn it up in all areas to hang with FC's diverse offense. I see the Falcon's offense not slowing down at all in this game.

I'm also curious to see if Fort Campbell gets caught looking ahead somewhat. They are a notoriously fast starting team, averaging 22 points in the first quarter. If they don't get that Friday, does it mean they were looking ahead to an 11-0 Murray team for the region title? The same holds true with Murray in their game with Hancock County. I remember in 2004 the Falcons got caught looking ahead to OCath and lost to a Glasgow team they had no business losing to at home.

Maybe a few years ago, but this is not the Fort's first rodeo.

Maybe, but I know a couple of players told me last year they overlooked Monroe County and was looking ahead to Newport Central Catholic in the semifinals. It took them a half to get things in gear. You never know how kids will approach things.

Me too, I don't post a comment in every poll that I vote in either (like the "who has the best chance of winning 5A poll), but I really try to, and I try hard to come up with something other than....."I agree with _________________, the game will be an intense matchup and yada, yada, yada."

There's many more people that vote for Fort Campbell in the variety of polls than for the other team. There's only so much that can be said as to why Fort Campbell will beat _________________, but when someone votes for ______________________________ over Fort Campbell, I'm curious as to why the person believes that way. It seems that every Fort Campbell vs. ___________________________ predictions thread that is posted, the overwhelming result is that Fort Campbell will win, so there's anywhere from 10-15 posts following the lead-in post that explain why Fort Campbell will win and it's all the same answer pretty much. Now, as we get closer to the state championship, and the games will inevitably become harder for the Falcons, I'm really curious as to why voters believe ____________________ will beat them, since, as many BGP posters have stated, they are the consensus favorite to win 2A.

Bill nobody has to justify or explain their votes to you, me, or anybody. You don't have to say why you vote in a political poll, so why would you here. If they wanna vote against Ft. Campbell and not explain why then thats their right! BTW Ft. Campbell wins big.

Too obvious I guess, yes Trigg County in the first round of the 2006 playoffs. I’m going to go out on a limb here, but I’m predicting there will be no playing spoiler this year for Trigg County. There is certainly no love loss between these two teams and Trigg County has put together an impressive second half of the season, but Fort Campbell is just too fast and has so many weapons for Trigg to contain. Fort Campbell wins 55-7.

I believe FC will win big about 49-0 is my guess. I am saying this due to speed on both sides of the FC ball. Offense and defense have more speed than any other team we have seen this year. I also, like many of the other FC fans, all know better than to over look Trigg. But the Falcons will come out swinging hard and fast to score quickly on the Wildcats.
