Bill nobody has to justify or explain their votes to you, me, or anybody. You don't have to say why you vote in a political poll, so why would you here. If they wanna vote against Ft. Campbell and not explain why then thats their right! BTW Ft. Campbell wins big.

You're absolutely right, nobody has to justify their votes to you, me, or anybody. I'm not saying that I'm the almight poll maker and all that vote in my poll and post in my thread owe me an explanation, however.....it's a simple high school football discussion. The way we discuss things here (because we're not all at the same location enjoying a cold drink and some hot wings) is through the message board. If this topic were going around the table while we were out the night before the big game and everyone at the table said they thought team a would beat team b and explained why......but then there's the one guy that blurts out that team b would beat team a but doesn't really want to explain it for the good of the group.....we'd prolly all throw a wing at him. It's not for me, it's for the group discussion! Heck, just about everyone here is shrouded in anonymity...so what's the big deal in stating why you feel that way?

 

Oh well, guess we'll never really know how Trigg County can beat Fort Campbell.

I really want to stress something though, I don't believe that I'm the only one in here that feels that discussion/debate (in a non-insulting manner) is good for the board. It's why we're all here, to discuss high-school sports.

I understand Bill. I wish as many people took part in the discussion as did voting in the polls but I have learned that just isn't the case. I also know there are some who cast a bad vote in a non-public poll just to do so. If the Pittsburgh Steelers were to play Fort Knox, there would be a joker or two vote for Fort Knox to win. I just don't sweat it anymore.

Game day is approaching. Looks like the weather will be nice and cool for the game as well. Predicted to be cloudy but no sign of rain.

 

As stated before, I look for this to be a good game. I don't think that it will be the blowout that most everyone is assuming it will be. I'm thinking that this will be a game in which the FC starters will have to play the whole game (and if they sit, it'll be in the 4th quarter). I do think that Fort Campbell will win this one.

 

One thing to note is that this is a personal game for the Falcons, the 2006 playoff loss to Trigg County has not been erased even though the Falcons haven't lost to Trigg County since then. There are a few seniors on this current Falcon team that were on the roster for that loss.......and they still hold that against Trigg.

 

This is going to be a physical game that's for sure.

To me, the key is the first quarter. Trigg can't fall behind 21-0 or they are in big trouble. I remember that last year's game was close for three quarters before Andrews made some big plays to pull out the win. I also remember Andrews didn't play the next week because of injuries suffered from hits in the Trigg game.

Yup, that's when FC lost to Franklin-Simpson in the last regular season game of the year.....seems like so long ago that Fort Campbell lost a game.

I think the Falcons win this one, but, I also think it'll be a better game than most people think. Trigg is playing with alot of confidence these last 5-6 weeks, they're very familiar with Ft Campbell and what they'll try and do and frankly, they've played a better schedule against some other very good teams, so, I don't think they'll just role over if they get down and I think they're game ready. In the end, I think they're still a little young and rebuilding to overtake them, but, if they keep it close for a half and into the 3rd qtr, get a break or 2 and build some momentum, anything could happen.

That being said how many of the starters from last year will be hitting Andrews tomorrow night? This could be a changer for the Falcons if Andrews gets hurt and they have to face Murray/Prestonburg in the Regionals! Just how deep is Fc at the qb position? Just a little friendly inquieries from a fellow Falcon Fan!

Seven starters back on defense. Last year's game was even without Andrews. He had about 85-percent of their offense in their regular season matchup, won by Fort Campbell 28-9. I don't think Fort Campbell wins the state title with their backup quarterback.

That was my question, thank you! I was concerned that three in a row was in trouble without him... I was also looking at the other side of the bracket and Fc has a big regional challenge ahead even with A.Andrews.

With Andrews in the lineup and the Falcons healthy, I see their biggest challenge in Bowling Green. That may be their first true four quarter game of the year.
