I'm gonna say something here...Thie team has came a long way, no doubt. We have the right people in the right positions and a coaching staff doing a good job. But I'm gonna tell you right now...the HC fan base was HUGE in this game. When I first walked about in 7:00pm there were probably about 15 people on the HC side and I thought to myself "wow! we didn't travel very well tonight". But as game time grew near HC's side filled up and absolutely was a factor in this game!

 

Good Job Bears Fans. I expect to see a HUGE LOUD crowd at LCC next week.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot...It would be good to hear from some of the Somerset faithful on this game.

HC's No.72 had a huge game on defense for the Bears... Didn't notice him in the first game... GoWarriors!!

That is Jamie Ball. I think he was hurt and didn't play much, if at all, during that first game. Jamie flat out lays the hammer down when he's in the zone. :ylsuper:

Jamie had a great game last night and stepped up big time as did the rest of the Black Bear defense. The Harlan Daily reported that the Bear's defense held SW Pulaski to 51 yards rushing for the night. We just beat a really good football team. I glanced at SWP roster and it looks like they have a good core group returning for next season. Congrats to the Warriors on a great season.

Is there any talk about the future of Coach A? I know he is a good coach, but is it time for a change? Seems like year after year come playoff time the warriors can't advance.jmo

Congrats Blackbears!!! I thought SW would win but you guys came out and played a good hard nosed game and took home the win.

Coach A has a few years until he's eligible for retirement but we hope he stays even longer... Actually this year was one of his best coaching jobs.. No one expected much from the Warriors this year and he and his staff led a young team without much experience, but willing to buy in to a fine season......

I heard about that Bear Paw!!!! Apparently there were Bears running all over the place in Somerset Friday night, but we eventually ended up where we were supposed to be. Came in from all directions. (I'm not telling who's directions we used )

 

SW Pulaski has a very nice stadium. I thought we had a good turn out from Harlan Co. I expect a huge following for next week's game.

I think the question is answered as to which of the 2 districts was tougher this year. However, .... while PC is the only team left from District 7, they are really starting to peak at the right time.

 

Sets up two VERY interesting games in round #2!

 

Harlan vs Letcher (rematch) should be a GREAT game

 

PC vs Whitley should be very interesting as well.

Give me a brake. Coach A should go. How many times can you run the ball up the middle. Against Rock #41 had a monster game with 3td catchs. He does not touch ball against HC. Very poor play calling and that is Coach A
