UofL 88 Bellarmine 65

Featured Replies

UofL doesn't have any superstars in their backcourt, but it's dangerous. A whole lot of depth. Peyton Siva is going to be a stud, an amazing athlete. Had a crazy reverse dunk tip.

Sosa and Smith played well and Knowles has seemingly continued to get better and better as a shooter. He has been a great surprise, and a great player for the Cards.

My biggest worry is front court depth. Samuels has looked like a beast (against smaller players). Jennings is going to be solid. But they have question marks after that. Buckles and Swopshire have looked pretty good, but will they be able to hold their own in the Big East. Those two are the key to the season for UofL IMO. Buckles has shown a lot of promise, he is active and can knock down the three for a big man.

Overall the Cards looked much smoother tonight. Good luck to Bellarmine, go out and prove that #1 ranking.

Samuels- 18pts, 14 rebounds

Siva is the real deal...

Looks like UL took care of business here.

Bellarmine should have a good year.

I agree with the sentiments that Louisville has a very strong backcourt, but their frontcourt leaves a little something to be desired.

Fortunately for the Cards, a good backcourt can take you a long way...

Siva is the real deal...

I think someone on here has been talking about how good he will be for a few years now... :idunno: :D

Man can Siva get up. He is very athletic. Had the pleasure of meeting him at a GRC football game. Also looks like great team chemistry of him, Smith and Knowles on the bench.

Preston was a shooter in high school. He can shoot. Just has been playing the role that Coach P. has wanted him to do.

Agree on the front court depth.

RP played many different line-ups tonight. This team is deep with talent.

I've been bugging you about him for a couple years too. Glad to finally get a chance to see him, special athlete. And seems to be a great kid.

It was like watching hockey with all the subbing.

Nice to hear former Clark County and 10th Region standout Preston Knowles on the post-game radio show. It sounds like he's having a blast.:thumb:

I missed it, what did it say? He loves Louisville. Great fit for him.

The first time I saw him he came down on the break and threw one down hard on Derrick Favors. I was sold from then on...

What he primarily responded to was the question regarding improvement from the Georgetown game to this game. Communication/talking among teammates on defense; calling out teammates' names, etc. He really sounded like he was having fun during the interview.

PK is (according to the broadcast) 4th all-time in 3pt shooting at the Ville. If I'm not mistaken, he was top two or three in the Big East last year.

Like I said earlier, the kid is a pleasure to watch. Gonna go down as one of my all-time favorite Cards.
