Clay County 34 Hazard 28

Big surprise. Clay County was missing the playoffs no matter what. Nice to see they put it all on the line one last time!:thumb:

I agree. Coach Arnett has to be happy to end the season with this type of win.

Nice win for the Tigers.

How did this game "play out", details, etc?

Good win for the Tigers a great way to end the season.

I felt all year that Clay Co had a good team. They have two good RB's and a good QB with strong line and a physical defense. It is unfortunate that a team this good is not in the playoffs. They could probably beat a lot of other teams in other districts that made the playoffs, of course, this is not the way it works. Congratulations on the win and you have a lot of players returning to build a good team in 2010.

Clay County was a good team, someone had to get beat in the district they were in and it just so happened to be them and no one would show them respect because they didn't have a district win, but they were a good team. All 6 teams in the district were very good this year. Clay County has the most returning next year and will be a very hard team to keep out of the first 2 seeds for the playoffs.

Clay showed a lot of character in this game. Not being in the playoffs against a very good opponent, Clay could have simply "rolled over" but they did not. This win will make the winter workouts just a little easier. Good luck to CCHS next year and good luck to Hazard in the playoffs!
