What do think about Trinity adding 11 Freshman to the Varsity Roster?

Didn't get to go to this game, but from a purely unenlightened perspective, there are going to be games like this. I'm thinking that this is as much a learning tool as our losses have been. Coming back against any team in the 2nd half and ultimately winning is no small achievement. They've done it 2 weeks in a row now, against Ballard and now against Lex Cath. I think it definitely makes a statement that as this team has gone through a rough season, they've learned how to stay focused in a game, and put together 4 quarters of focused play.

 

The Rocks have faced challenges I'm not sure I've seen collectively in any one season in the past. Besides the loss of some great players from last year, they've had a rash of injuries like I've never seen. That means that from week to week, it's been a "different" team on the fied. But it seems they're all learning to step up.

 

I still think they're the #2 or #3 team in the state, and I think they have a great shot of getting to Bowling Green.

Rest assured, Beatty will play his best and if he thinks it's a freshman, so be it!

 

I think the Quick kid has shown he can more than hold his own against the big boys and I bet some of the others can also.

 

This team obviously has character with the come back wins and hopefully they can use this to get to the finals, despite all of the the injuries and other issues they have had to deal with.

 

I heard Robertson the D1 kicker is no longer on the team. Any confirmation on this.

You may be correct but Highlands is 5A and SK and StX play each other so Trinity could still get to the finals and I like Beatty's track record in final games where he is supposed to be the underdog!

 

The title is Trinity's until they are beaten and history has proven this to be correct. Three of the past four years very few posters on this site gave them any chance at all and they continue to win. It is what it is!

For the life of me I hate hearing any comparisons of well Team A played Team B and did this well against them and Team B played Team C and did this well against them. Thus Team A should be able to play this well against Team C right? Too many outlying factors dilute this equation. Lex Cath is by far a better team today then they were four or five weeks ago I feel. The Boyle Co. game seems to have really awakened this group. As for Trinity, I have no clue of their situation currently except to state it sounded like a bit of a down year when compared to other TRINITY seasons.

 

For the life of me I hate hearing that "MY TEAM got better over the last 5 weeks" (thus implying that OTHER teams didn't).
