Highlands vs Covington Catholic Frosh Finals Predictions

Featured Replies

Thanks for the response and your opinion. As stated, I could not make the last frosh Cov Cath / HHS contest and you really did a quality broadcast. I really appreciated the broadcast as welll as the small contingent of fans working with me that evening. Hopefully, in the future we will be able to provide the same service for the folks in Ft Thomas. When is Cris retiring?

Did not mean to rustle any feathers... just floating a thought out there.:thumb:

No problem. Just remember, you can always listen later as well. You know my offer is out there to assist in training anyone that wants to learn how to do this. I just hope that whoever you get, they don't get accused of being "homers" towards your school like we did for the first few years of being on the air.

No way. You got accused of being a homer? Say it isn't so, Joe. :D

On a serious note, I do enjoy going into your archives and listening to past games. You guys do a good job. Keep in mind my enjoyment has a lot to do with the games I choose to listen to, of course.

Who is broadcasting the game with you tonight? I thought that fellow that broadcasted the CovCath-Highlands varsity game with you several weeks ago did a fine job.

And thank you for the offer to assist in training and setting up a Highlands internet broadcast. I think the school has expressed some interest in having some students start broadcasting the games as part of a class assignment, but don't know where that currently stands.

Hello LN. I'll have the man, the myth, the legend Jason Elfers in the booth tonight. That other guy is kind of raw and somewhat of a loose cannon.

Do NOT let Jason have any caffeine products at least 4 hours prior to the broadcast. :D

I agree with you about the other guy (probably why I like him so much). :sssh:

Haha, you may be right about Elfs and the caffeine, but you can't blame a guy for getting fired up about his alma mater can you? I liken it to Dave Lapham - yeah, you could make an argument that he's a homer and he doesn't quite give a unbiased and balanced broadcast, but he is broadcasting on the "Bengals Radio Network". Similarly, Jason is contributing to the "Cov Cath Internet Radio" broadcast. All are welcome to listen...as long as you don't mind him getting a bit excited about the Colonels and talking about 900 miles-a-minute. :D

Really though, he's a great guy, and I really like hearing him in the broadcast. I'm not sure I'll be able to catch things tonight, but I'll definitely give it a listen over the weekend.

I think you guys are confusing him with Mikey D, class of 2007, the ferret on Mountain Dew!!

When is game time?
