Any chance Calvary makes some noise?

As to the question, I still learn towards BW after seeing them this summer.

Agree with BG9--I think Calvary graduated most of their noise. I'd think Beechwood should head this division again. Curious, aren't they the largest of this bunch, now that several of the similar sized schools have moved to DII?

I have a bit of a problem with this...you see a kid play a couple basketball games and you have the authority to label him a head case? I don't think you meant anything malicious by it, but if you don't KNOW a kid personally, you really don't know anything about them except for the way they play the game.

And as far as Dayton keepinig their heads? I think that would be a fair statement to say about any team (although it seems to be reserved for Dayton). You have a bunch of teenagers playing a very passionate, physical game, so every team in the state has to keep their heads to be successful.

I have watched the kid play a few times in high school and AAU and he got frustrated and threw cheap elbows and got stupid fouls. I know he fought with his coach some last season, but he could have changed. I would say that everyone deserves a second chance, but I have to agree with the statement. That being said Eastin is a good basketball player. He could contend for the POY in this division. I would have to say that the Green Devils will be a good team and could make noise in that district.

I think you have to say Beechwood because of their record the past 2 years but I see it being close with Dayton.

Beechwood and Dayton are the favorites like most are saying. I like the depth of the Greendevils and they shoot well. Beechwood has a very good player in Pohlgeers but he will have a lot of hands in his face this season.

Who else does Beechwood have coming back?

There was a rumor over the summer that Dayton was getting a very good transfer, did that happen?

No Dayton didn't really get any transfers for basketball.

Beechwood brings back Nick Hall and Jon Pohlgeers, they were the only two how saw the floor in a significant amount of quality varsity time. They did have a pretty strong JV team. I am pretty sure the JV team won most of their DIII games.

JV hasn't lost to the DIII in 2 years either. Kyle "Meat" Daniels will be a big contributor this season. Look for him to be a 10ppg 10rpg player.

Bellevue had them beat the entire game last season...lost on a last second shot. Did Beechwood JV have any other close calls?

I agree. I think Kyle Daniels will be a huge factor for the Tigers this year in rebounding since they lost a lot of size.

I would say that is a pretty solid list, I would put Beechwood ahead of Dayton personally, but I think that its a toss up. Until they play you won't really know.

What is the height of the starters for Dayton?

Does Williamson of Ludlow return this year? I know he was pretty built and left handed. Solid all around player.

IMO: it is pretty simple---Beechwood.
