IMO Bellevue will be in the bottom half of Div. III.

They certainly lost a lot when Hunter Jones went back to Cali. Only 250 points, 136 rebounds, 50 % FG shooting, 35 blocks and 46 steals.

Mikey Young should step up and lead them in scoring and I would expect Ricky Buckler to handle the guard duties. They will have Alex Hegge who is a good athlete at one forward spot also. I think they could probably stay in the top 3 or 4 in D3. Young will probably have a double double.

I do know that they have an up and coming player in Brandon Hoffman who is a Sophomore.

Only double/double Mike Young will average is in missed practices and excuses!

Have you watched this young man practice this season?

I don't think Ricky Buckler is going to play. It will hurt them if he does not.

The underclassmen of Beechwood such as Prewitt,Cruse,Vocke, are they key for the tigers.

Nope just going by history. Lets reevaluate this comment come christmas break, and when times start to get tough for Bellevue over the winter. Hope I am wrong, he has talent and the new coach could sure use a senior like him to be an example for the younger players to learn from, but I won't hold my breathe expecting him to change his stripes.

What makes you think any one of these three players will help the varsity out? Let us hear your train of thought on this one Mr. Banner!

Depth, I believe that Shumate will try to give some players experience so he doesn't have another fall off like he will have this season. Cruse is the biggest factor of the three IMO. He will end up starting IMO because he has size and talent. Rick will work his magic again this season.

Let's hope not for the sake of the young man in question. I don't know how calling out a high school kid like this in a public forum is appropriate in your view. The only people that should be questioning the kid's dedication and work ethic at this point are his parents, Mr. Menefee and his teamates. Unless your one of those people, you should not make comments like that in this forum. Like it or not it's inappropriate at best.

Also Prewitt and Vocke will be key bench/role players that could fill in great for Rick Shumate.

Did not see anyof the DIII schools scrimmage at Simon Kenton this past weekend other than Beechwood. For having nothing coming back from last years team, and Dayton and Villa already getting ready to hold up the championship banner for this year, I thought the Tigers look very impressive. When they get their depth from the football team back, and a couple of the younger players step up, we will see the same outcome in DIII again as we have the previous two! Beechwood on top.

I understand, but I think a new, younger coach, whom I know for a FACT really wants to be there to build a program to compete for championships would bring out a few new faces. :

I could almost say for a FACT that most coaches really want to compete for championships and build a program.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Good luck tigers.

Well you should hope so!
