My idea would be to move this game to Saturday night when the weather is going to be good and the teams would have an extra day to heal from whatever might ail them. The rain will probably significantly reduce the amount of money that will be made off of this game. It's the last game of the regular season for both teams as both have their open week next week, so neither would have to work on a "short week" or anything.

I'm against the Saturday game. It's for purely selfish reasons, but I'm against it. We just don't play well when we go off the normal routine. If we are out of school on Friday, or play a Saturday game, we don't have the same momentum.

 

But, other then that, I understand what you are saying, and it does make sense otherwise. I hope the crowd shows up anyway, heck it's football other then lightning the game goes on, that's part of the struggle of the game. You play in the heat, the cold, the rain, and if you're lucky, sometimes, the snow. You got to love it.

We play I believe Lynn Camp our first playoff game. They are coming all the way from Corbin. 185 miles, over a 3 hour drive. How many fans besides the parents do you think will show up? 50, maybe 100. And Fairview is traveling over 200 miles. About 25 miles past Corbin. How many Fairview fans will go?

Exactly, when Russell, Ashland, and Raceland get together for a game it is going to be a big crowd and great atmosphere. I've seen some great "Playoff atmospheres", but like you said, sometimes the playoff crowds disappoint.

 

But, nonetheless, I expect a great atmosphere no matter what, and I would be disappointed if it is any other way.
