Pulaski County 16 Southwestern 6

On a dry field PC can't keep up with us and that's why the field is always a

mess when these two teams play. I saw it earlier in the week and it didn't look like it did Friday night. It's terrible to have teams play in that

t rained a bunch the rest of the week. Fields were like that all over the area. Wayne County's field looked to be well maintained and it turned into a mess minutes into the game. The field conditions were the same for both teams. Besides, Southwestern was supposed to be a power running team with an excellent defense while Pulaski was supposed to be a spread option/passing team with a suspect run defense. Southwestern should have had the advantage on a sloppy field. Instead the Warriors were beat at their own game. There is no way that Southwestern has more team speed than Pulaski anyway, I'm sure the Maroons would much rather have played on a dry field.

PC was the better team tonight. They beat SW at there own game. One thing that I noticed was the number of kids both schools had. PC had almost twice the kids dressed that SW had. I know the numbers have been down for SW but come on. It is time for a change at SW.

You gotta be kidding.. All Coach A has done this year is lead a young team no one expected to do much to a winning record and a play-off spot... Seems the only ones wanting a "change" are our opponents.... Go Warriors!!!

True but thy field was well tore up before the game even started. It looked like they let cows out before the game and run around the field and it's pretty bad if refs are looosing shoes out there

The field was a mess, but not by disign. Pulaski has more speed so why would they want a sloppy track? You said it is like that every\year-the game was at Sw last season.

I agree. What is this PC's first district championship ever? SWP was not supposed to be any good this year, they have the best shot at getting to round 2 in the playoffs than anyone is else in the district at this point.

Yes, this was Pulaski's first District Championship in the program's history. I think they first played varsity in 1982 or 1983.

Great Game. PC beat SW at there own game. Up front on both sides of the ball. Congrats to PC. These two may see each other again, lets hope so. As far as the mud being more harmful to PC I wouldn't bet on that. Everyone believs SW doesn't have the speed to keep up with PC, but I would not be so sure. I would love to see these two match up on a good field. I may be wrong but I do believe SW has speed comparable to PC. I thought the refs did a good job most of the night. I was really impressed when the HL lost his shoe in the mud and never put his foot with sock only down in the mud.:ylsuper:

Look out for district 8.
