I think West will be too much for Ryle to handle. He had a good game against them last year and he was playing injured. Ryle has a better running attack this year but they lost some talent on the defensive side of the ball.

I think that Conner will make some great defensive plays. Some say that they cant handle the Ryle run game, but they shut down Boone 2 weeks ago.

I was not impressed with Ryle's ability to stop anyone last week and I think Conner comes to play offensively.

Ryle stunk up the joint last week vs. SK and that was not the same team I had observed all year. The performance was hard to explain. I would guess they are paying a price this week in Union. I look for the "normal" Ryle team to show up Friday night and they owe the Cougars one from last year.

I wouldn't poke fun at people's predictions. It was just last week that someone clamied Ryle would lose to SK 42-21 and it wouldn't be close and he got bashed for it, but it turned out to be pretty accurate. Just voicing my opinion, and not saying it was you that said anything last week, but he is just saying how he feels the game will go. And I am just saying, stranger things have happened. I wish both teams the best of luck and hope for a good game!:thumb:

All I said last week was that even if SK was up by 6 TD's they would leave their starters in. I was at the the SK vs Conner three weeks ago when Sk was up by 42 with their starters in at the very end. My point in this thread is Highlands and SK could not hold Ryle to 10 points. I guess next time post something I'll run it by you first. :notworthy:

Geez people are testy on here. I would expect NKY's two most promising college QB prospects to light up the scoreboard in Union Friday night. Unlikely rain and wind will shut down Ryle's passing quite like last Thursday at SK and can't imagine Conner's D as stiff as Highlands and SK, and furthermore can't imagine Conner has quite the one-two punch running the ball as SK. Nonetheless, West has the opportunity to make some headlines if Ryle's defense can't stop him. Should be interesting.

Looks like there is a really good chance for nasty weather Friday night. It might be raining and cold, which could lead to turnovers. I think the team that minimizes turnovers, and capitalizes on the other teams turnovers wins this game. Just one question for a knowledgeable Ryle fan. How many catches/yards/TD's does Nichols have this season? I am just curious, seems like they don't utilize him nearly enough. I could be wrong.

I do think they need to throw to Nichols more. When teams start stacking the box to stop Elliott, hit Nichols on some play action and it will open things up more for the running game.

On NKY.com they have Tate down for 176 yards on !5 catches. They do not have the numbers for the SK game. I know he had at least 1 catch for around 40 yards. I'm not sure if had more catches, I didn't see the entire game. :idunno:

Why doesn't Ryle go to Nichols more? They shoul keep Eubanks split out as a deep speed threat and run Nichols in the flat or on drags. He is freaking huge and seems to have nice hands.

Not sure why. Seems like Fugate is the go to guy in the passing game. I have been to 4 of Ryles games this year. In the passing plays it seems like Nichols gets double teamed a lot. Leaving Fugate, Eubank, and number 18 left one on one. But at 6'7" seems he would get more thrown to him.

Are you saying he has 0 touchdowns on the year? He did have a nice catch in the second half against SK, but the game was well in hand by then. Something just doesn't make sense here. A D1 player committed to a PAC-10 team, and they don't use him? What gives? BTW, has he signed his LOI?

They had him having 1 TD. Again they didn't have the SK stats. I agree, Whay gives?? :confused:
