Sounds like Boyle did not play their A GAME. They survived this game and are still the clear cut favorite in 4A.

 

I think that Boyle is the best team in 4A. I know that Bell is getting better but Boyle has to be the favorite. They have beat some really good football teams Catholic, Lafayette, Johnson Central and Rockcastle.

I think there is much respect between these two teams and fans. The Bell posters follow Boyle the same as the Boyle posters follow Bell. Anybody that whitness last years game, knows what to expect if there is another meeting deep in the playoffs. Rankings or favorites mean nothing, the game will be decided on the field. I can't waite......I just hope we are playing on November 27th. for a chance to go to Bowling Green.

I still think Bell County is the favorite. They are the champs until they are beaten and that task looks to be insurmountable as each week passes and Bell County is getting better and better. Bell County has already proven that they know how to beat Boyle County:isurrender:

 

You can try to play the underdog role, but you guys have what we want. You are not underdogs.:thumb:

 

I do think Bell and Boyle are 1 and 2 followed by Lone Oak at 3.

 

I haven't seen Lone Oak play, but LexCath was able to put up points on Lone Oak, something they couldn't do against Boyle. I think the state championship is likely to be played at Rebel Stadium the day after Thanksgiving if Bell and Boyle finish out the rest of the season the way they are expected to.

 

Lone Oak had the Knights down by 29 in the fourth quarter. Don't let the final score fool you. 2 touchdowns came way by a missed assignment by a second string corner that does not start now. LO has made some real Improvements on D and will be looking for the opportunity to play whomever they need to. That being said i think this game shows that 4A is a lot closer than the state will admit. Boyle is the clear number one but i would love to see a regular season matchup between LO and Bell, maybe we will see in the playoffs. ACS is really good as well and LO will be looking foward to avenging last years loss.:sssh:

Defense was the name of the game by both teams,I was so impress with Catholoic's D. I think we all can look forward to another matchup down the road, and it will be another barnburner.JMO GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boyle held in check the second half by Catholics D.

 

I give credit to LC for staying in the game and not giving in, but I'm not sure BC played the best they could in the second half. The play calling was ultra conservative. I'm not sure on the exact number, we didn't pass the ball but 2-3 times the entire half. Gotta keep them off balance or the rushing yards will be much harder to come by.

Absolutely.

 

Should Boyle and Bell meet, the entire regular season, 7 on 7 summer game and last year's contest gets thrown out of the window. Who knows what will happen. :idunno:

So you don't think that after BC got up 21-3 they may have decided to close the playbook to give LexCath less to prepare for should BC and LexCath meet again in the playoffs knowing that should LexCath attempt to make it a game, they could re-open the playbook?

 

 

Just out of curiosity, where you at the game? Are you basing your assumptions by just looking at the final score?

Bell County will be exposed this time around if they face Boyle!

I was at the game and I thought the game was already over when Boyle scored easy early but, when LexCath started playing I think that surprised Boyle some. Boyle is used to most teams laying down after being scored upon that easy. I think Boyle was lucky to escape with the win!
