Why? What went wrong with them tonight? I don't know a whole lot about them, but should they of put up a better showing. Could you say they were flat?

WOW, I've had people telling me this SK compares to the Simpson freshman team that either went undefeated or were in the finals. Now they've lost to Ryle, Cov Cath and HHS. I think they may be a little off on their thinking.

The Simpson frosh did not go undefeated. I only know that because this HHS senior class went undefeated as freshman. They played Dixie in the championship game. If I remember correctly though, Simon Kenton was a a heck of a game. It was a very close game. The Highlands frosh were on a long winning streak and I remember they almost lost it on that game.

What is the freshman playoff format? I thought that there was just a NKY frosh championship game at the end of the frosh season?

The SK Freshman Team the year after Simpson's (With Lawrence, Baldwin, Carrol, etc. that start Varsity now) were the ones that went undefeated and beat Highlands in the Championship game if I remember correctly.

Yeah I think your right..That HHS team that year made it to the Championship game I think on a coin flip. It was a 3 way tie between CCH,HHS and not sure the other one. That was an interesting process of elimination to get to the championship game.

Thanks! Are the #1 an #2 in the east and west just about set? Or are their any games coming up this week that could change anything? From what I see it should be Highlands and Cov. Cath. out of the east. And Ryle and ????? out of the west. :idunno:

HHS was by far the better team last night. I wouldn't have said that after the Ryle and CovCath games for SK. The offensive line for Highlands dominated the game, McCoy played a solid game and SK could do nothing right. SK was missing 3 of their 5 starting lineman, including the center, which limited their play calling. It looked like SK's QB didn't have time to throw and when he did the receivers wouldn't catch it. The running game was solid, considering they ran the same play over and over. SK threw a pick 6 to HHS and gave up a ridiculous TD at the end of the first half when a receiver ran past three SK defenders.

Watch out for the Birds- they are for real.
