Looks like this one may be played in the mud so I would give the edge to which line controls the line of scrimmage.

I'll go with the home field advantage and give NO the W by a touchdown.

For what it's worth, the two teams have two common opponents - South Oldham and Trimble County.

vs. South North Oldham 31, South Oldham 7 at North

Henry County 13, South Oldham 0 at Henry

vs. Trimble North Oldham 39, Trimble County 6 at Trimble

Henry County 32, Trimble County 12 at Trimble

By looking at those stats ColonelMike both teams appear to be pretty evenly matched, Henry County is no push over or an easy win for anyone, but North has a good fan base and a good atmosphere up there it is tough for any team to come in there and leave with a W.

The teams look pretty even...but then again, the whole district looks pretty darn even!!!!!

Small breaks could loom very large.

I like North because of the line play. I think the Mustangs will win the battle of the trenches, and therefore, the game.

Henry should be healed up and ready to go. Wildcats by 7 in a tight one.

Looking at the KHSAA Henry was pretty soft against the run at Owensboro Cath, if they sure that up North will have a tough time. If HC doesn't get the run stopped, it's gonna be a tough row to hoe for the Wildcats. This game is ALWAYS tough!

I couldn't have said it any better BigCat, of course all the games in this district are tough because all the teams involved have something to prove.

HC must make good tackles, they get to the ball very well but they have not been finishing with good tackles.

Indeed. The last time HC went to Goshen they knocked off a good North club. This game hasn't been decided by more than a TD in sometime. Big difference last year was the injury to the Butler kid, he's TOUGH and looks to be full go...that could give North a few fits. Will see how North looks after losing such a good ball player in Tuller, he was pretty darn good!

Henry leads the series, 5-2. North is 1-2 all-time vs. Henry in Goshen. North won the first-ever meeting between the two in 2003....North ended a five-game winning streak by Henry last year, 18-14, scoring 15 points in the final quarter to win.

Nobody who scored, passed, or caught a pass in that game is back for North. However, the line returns largely intact.

Both quarterbacks last year (Maddox for North and Magness for Henry) scored two TDs rushing...

Hopefully, no power outages in Goshen this year as we dealt with in New Castle last year!!!

Coach Engstrand (sp?) is 3-1 vs. North...

Coach Martin is a "combined" 3-4 in the series; he was 2-1 at Henry against North, and is 1-3 against Henry since moving to North.

North Oldham has only existed 6+ seasons...Henry County holds some spots in North Oldham's lists of "firsts" - the 2003 North Oldham 29-22 win over the Wildcats was the Mustangs' first-ever home victory (first season of football), and their win in New Castle last year was the school's first-ever win over a ranked team (Wildcats #9 at the time).

North has won 22 of their last 30 games...

Both coaches have done very well, indeed. This should be a fun game for the fans...
