What was the confusion on LCA's extra point. It was signaled good and then after Lex. Caths. coach ran out on the field yelling at the refs for 2 or o 3 minutes they take the extra point away. I never heard what happened or what the explanation was.

you nailed it. Letton spent several quality minutes with the officials. I counted 4 catholic coaches on the field for a while.

Yeah, but LexCath was getting just as stiff,...and yet, THEY got it done.

 

Bluto, Wish you could have won this game. Sure looks like it could have been won with a couple of the extra points that the team failed on. I like what you said above. No excuses. Just fix the problems. Good luck till Oct 16.

LCA looks very strong on the video I've seen. However, I wouldn't dismiss Mayfield, they have the firepower to beat any team in class 1A. Barring injuries, I look for a LCA-Mayfield matchup.

I doubt LCA will be over looking anyone they play. I'm sure the coaching staff talks to them everyday about respecting the other teams. Thats part of being a great team. Respect all and kick butt... They have a very talented coaching staff.

The first extra point kick ruling was reversed because the ball was wide left...it rolled that way after the ball landed..that's a law of physics, four other officials saw it that way-had nothing to do with Coach Letton. LCA did play an outstanding game and it was matched by our Knights. What happens after an abnormality (two hour weather delay late in the progress of a hard fought game) comes down to the character of a team and it's individuals once play is resumed. At that point you begin to see what guys are made of. I'm proud of our boys.
