What was the confusion on LCA's extra point. It was signaled good and then after Lex. Caths. coach ran out on the field yelling at the refs for 2 or o 3 minutes they take the extra point away. I never heard what happened or what the explanation was.

 

I was taking photos and was about 10 feet behind the official that made the initial good call. The ball hit the left upright near the top and then deflected almost sideways directly to the left. It was no good. The official was directly below the upright and he may not have seen it deflect to the outside.

Of course LCA wont overlook anyone but some fans want to just hand them the crown. Are they the favorite? Lots seem to think so but I think its a 3 team event at this point. LCA, Mayfield and Bwood being an uncharacterist unkown at this point. Hopefully some great games will be played come playoff time.

I asure you the fans won't give the championship trophy to LCA, MAYFIELD, Beechwood, Frankfort ,Hazard, Raceland, Lynn Camp or anyone. All 1A teams will have to battle for it in the playoffs. And it could be any of the teams above or some other team. What you and I think don't mean nothing. You think it's a three team race. I say at this point in the season its a 30 team race. JMO What about the #3 team in the state Crittenden Co or#7 Allen Central or #8 Louisville Holy Cross. All in the top 10 this week. Have you seen all of the 30+ 1A schools play. Why is it a three team race. Polls are for fans. Don't read into the polls to much. Mayfield maybe #1 next week and # 10 the following. We will know who is the best at the end of the year. That is unless one of those three teams don't make it!!

LCA looks very strong on the video I've seen. However, I wouldn't dismiss Mayfield, they have the firepower to beat any team in class 1A. Barring injuries, I look for a LCA-Mayfield matchup.

 

We won't forget about mighty Mayfield if you don't forget about 30 other class 1A teams. All I want to know is how you scouted all the other 29 1A schools in the state. And decided that it will come down to Mayfield and LCA. You must have a computer full of all kinds of stats to say that Mayfield has the fire power to beat any 1A school in the state. Have you watched films on all of the 1A teams and then on your computer matched all of the teams up and played the season out. You need to go work for ESPN. They do stuff like that. :laugh::isurrender: I got a feeling I wouldn't be looking to hard for that match up if I were you. But what do I know? LCA only has 4 div 1 college pro. and a Jr lineman that will be next year. And I'm sure more going to Div II. Let me guess Mayfield has 5 div 1 athletes plus alot more. I don't even have a dog in this fight. I live 125 miles from LCA. But when I hear people say things like this it gets to me.

Thank you. People like that tick me off a little. Oh, good luck till we play you. Make sure and take it easy on us. We are only ranked in the bottom 5 of the top 10. But really I don't know if we shoud be ranked that high. We lost alot from our #1 ranking team last year. And we didn't even make it to the finals. Darn that lower ranked LCA. How did they do that? How did that #3 or 4 ranked team beat our undefeated #1 ranked team. U must have been just a little better then us. Darn them rankings.:isurrender:

snakesnot, Forget ESPN. You should be a rocket scientist. You have changed my mind. You are the man. From all of your post that I've read. I will never question you again. It's MAYFIELD for me the rest of the year. I'm going to call all of the coaches that I know, and tell them it's a three team race. And that the rest of us will have our own little 3rd and 4th place tourny. I do know a few. I have no doubts anymore.

snakesnot, I've changed my mind again. I don't think Mayfield will make it out of your Region. I just looked at the strength of Mayfield's schedule. It's not much. The total record for the teams Mayfield has played is an gross 8-22. Two of the teams Mayfield has played are 0-12. I have a feeling I could take a JV team and beat one of those teams. So hear it is. LCA is a class act. They are #1. 99.9% of the people that know anything about football knows this. They are the team to beat. I know I can't change your mind. Thats fine. Anyone that doesn't think LCA is ahead of everyone else in 1A, really doesn't know much about the class as a whole. I said it in the pre-season, and I am repeating it at the mid point. Believe it, dispute it, or ignore it, it doesn't make it any less true.
