Fantasy Football Advice: Week Three

Featured Replies

No, but I have a WR/RB position that I need to fill. And Santana Moss is playing Detroit this week, so he could have a big week. Was thinking about using him in that spot.

Personally, I wouldn't take it. When Kevin Walter returns, I think he'll see better numbers. You'd be mortgaging that for one big week. The Redskins passing attack consists of Chris Cooley right now, and no one else.

I'd take KW over Moss, being the #2 in Houston ain't a bad gig with Johnson on the opposite side. Santana may be #1 on the depth chart but he's nothing to get excited about.

Need some advice:

Get offered:

D McNabb

Tim Hightower

Giving up:

Fred Jackson

My team right now:

QB Schaub

WR B. Marshall

WR Wes Welker

WR M. Manningham

RB S. Jackson

RB B. Jacobs

TE. Z. Miller

Bench:

WR E. Royal

WR R. Meachem

TE. T. Scheffler

QB. M. Bulger

RB. F. Jackson

RB M. Bell

This is a 16 team league..I mean if I do the trade a get a solid Starting QB/Back up QB in McNabb. Then I would use Hightower for bye weeks for Jackson/Jacobs.

What say you?

That's a pretty rough one right there. I honestly am leaning towards sticking with what you have. I'm not positive that Jackson's value will decrease much when Lynch comes back. Plus, Hightower has as good of a chance of losing his job to Beanie as Jackson does to Lynch in my mind.

Okay I need help

2 Running back 1 flex

Chris Johnson

Matt Forte

Ronnie Brown

Mike Bell

Clinton Portis

Are there only 4 teams in your league? That is a loaded backfield!

I would say Portis just because he is playing Detroit. Forte has the Seahawks, Bell is hurt so I wouldn't start him. Johnson plays the Jets.

I would go with Portis, Brown and Johnson.

12 teams,..

I was just offered Dwayne Bowe for Forte..

I'm debating, I currently have D Jackson, Manningham, B Edwards, Lee Evans, and Justin Cage

You need receiver help...would think one of your RB's could score more than Bowe though.
You need receiver help...

Bad. I've got a few trade offers out but it seems like the guys in my league only make dumb trades and I can't make mine dumb enough for them

Money League Team that is 0-2. I need some help, probley the worst team I have ever drafted.

QB Palmer

QB Favre

WR R. Moss

WR T. Owens

WR Steve Smith (NYG)

RB Portis

RB ?

TE Kellen Winslow

W/R ?

Bench:

WR TJ Houshmandzadeh

WR Johnny Knox

RB Mike Bell

RB Larry Johnson

RB Marshawn Lynch

RB Tim Hightower

QB Shaun Hill

I was thinking about playing Hightower at the RB spot because he plays the Colts, and last week the Fins ran wild on the Colts. As for my W/RB spot I was thinking about playing Knox over TJ because Matt H isn't gonna play and plus the play Chicago. Larry Johnson has a tough match up vs Philly and Mike Bell is banged up.

What say you?

Still mulling the Jackson/Portis situation over, but I've got another for you. I've gotta pick two receivers out of my four.

Wes Welker vs. Atlanta

Roy Williams vs Carolina

Lee Evans vs New Orleans

Steve Smith (NYG) at Tampa Bay

It's a surprisingly difficult choice.

I think I'd rate those 4 in the order you have them listed. If Welker isn't healthy, I'd go with Evans and then Smith.

Agree.

So then who Gore or Portis?

If I start Jones-Drew.

Believe it or not, I think I'd go with Portis here. I really don't like the matchup that Gore has against Minnesota. They're very, very stout against the run.
