UT should just keep their mouth shut. They lost period.

This has quickly turned into the most heated rivalry in the SEC.

 

Kiffin took a shot at the Gators for talking about their players having the flu and, in Kiffin's mind,using that as an excuse for not whipping the Vols.

 

Its on like Donkey Kong.

 

Kiffin talked a bunch of crap and still lost. He's now a fearless leader that's going to revive this Vol's program that was once great? Please...

I love Kiffin in this matter. He's young and doing different things. Yes he lost but did he lose like everyone thought? No, and dont give me the flu excuse either. I agree with Kiffin he would've never even mentioned it if they won by 30 points. I'm not saying that they didnt have "flu like" sypmtoms beacause they very well may have. But I garantee he doesn't even mention it if they wouldve won big. Everyone expects Florida to be great(including myslef) but they haven't played a team worth even talking about thus far. And it's not going to get any better this week(sorry guys). If you are talking about what has a occured this season so far. They should be ranked around the number 5 spot. Miami deserves that number 1 or 2 spot right now. Based on SO FAR this season. Because they have played good ranked teams all season and came out on top. Now granted, if they go and beat LSU on the tigers homefield this will change. The SEC championship will also effect things.

I absolutely agree. Urban Meyer's comments were unbecoming and Kiffin called him out on it. I love guys that stand up for their team. Kiffin does that even if it makes some uncomfortable.

 

He may not believe everything he says. Some of its for show and some of it is aimed 100% at future players.

 

He's going to get UT back to where they were and I don't think it will take very long.

Both Kiffin and Meyer are classless. Meyer has been a jerk ever since he arrived in Gainesville. His team is a reflection of his poor sportsmanship, IMO. But it's typical UF style, run it up when you can, excuses when you don't.

 

I have always liked Meyer's style (especially his offense, it's the most strategically sound philosophy in the NCAA IMO) as a coach, and I thought that during the game it seemed like he had grown up a little bit. Meyer had won the battle and the war, until he just couldn't resist taking Kiffin's bait. Kiffin will use Meyer's marks against him on the recruiting trail, mark my words.

 

Both are great coaches, but sometimes leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the pre and post game things that go on.

Tennessee needs a QB. I think they showed that they can match up with Florida pretty much everywhere else. Very strong in the trenches.

 

Also, UCLA is a better football team than people are giving them credit for. UT's lack of competent QB play is going to make it a struggle every single week. That's a shame for the rest of that roster because they're a pretty good football team otherwise. I can't believe the Vols don't have a better option. Who'd a thought Michael Hartline would be an improvement for Tennessee?

So UT fans are to the point where they're happy with moral victories?
