I'll say this, after watching my wife suffer this week from H1N1 (and still going through it), it is not a flu that I want to get. I'm going to get the shot, though it's likely I've already been exposed to it and will get it anyways. Perhaps she just reacted to it differently than others, but it sure doesn't seem like the the typical flu, as she is very sick. Already been to the hospital once and going back to doctor tomorrow.

When it started going into the secret government conspiracy, ancient Biblical prophecy nonsense, I knew it was all hogwash by the same people who brought us the 9/11 cover-up. The truth is, the vaccine has been tested (in it's full form) and proven safe. Anyone -- especially those in the high risk groups -- who doesn't get vaccinated is just risking their lives and the lives of those to whom they might spread the disease.

The injected flu vaccine is made from a killed virus. It is not possible to get the flu from the flu shot. You may have gotten the flu before your immune system had time to build up antibodies or it could have been a year that they guessed the wrong flu strain.

That said the more I listen to doctors the less concerned I am about the vaccine. When it comes down to it, every year they need to make a new flu vaccine for the new strains that start making the rounds. How is this vaccine any different in that sense, they have a new strain and they developed the appropriate vaccine.

In total number killed yes, in death rate no. If untreated the plague death rate is about 50%. The flu is less then 1%.
