September 10, 200917 yr It's finally here! What a GREAT way to start the NFL season! Who do you like? Don't forget last time they played Tenn beat them and L. White stomped the Terrible Towel. Love the thought of how physical this opening game should be! Steelers are tough at home and my head says Pitt but something in my gut likes Tenn. I'm going with the upset Tenn Titans! I almost never go against Pitt at home but I like the Titans running game and feel like Pitt hasn't been the running team they have been in the past. Tenn quitley has an outstanding secondary!
September 10, 200917 yr Finally. Should be a great physical battle to start off the season. I'll take the Steelers by 10.
September 10, 200917 yr Steelers by a bunch....Tennessee will come no where close to repeating what they did last year IMO.
September 10, 200917 yr Won't be the flashiest game of the year, but I'm still definitely looking forward too it. And thanks for fantasy football I have some interest in this game. We are looking for 0 receptions out of Kenny Britt lol.

September 10, 200917 yr Somebody is actually starting Kenny Britt? That is what I was thinking.
September 10, 200917 yr This one should be a slugfest...and then some. Pittsburgh allowed 20 points or more only 5 times last season. Surprisingly, Tennessee's 31 points in Week 16 was the most they allowed last year. I don't expect a repeat of that. The Titans allowed 20+ points only three times in '08. I would say first team to 20 wins the game, but I'm not convinced anyone will get there. I'll take the Titans. I think they match up well with Pittsburgh. If the Steelers win, I believe it will be because the Titans can't contain Big Ben. If they allow him to make plays, particularly those plays when Ben escapes pressure to convert a big third down, or to hit on a big play down the field, it will be the difference in the game. I like Tennessee's chances at stopping the run and forcing Pittsburgh to pass...and, I like their chances to get pressure and possibly force a turnover or two. On the flipside, I don't expect the Titans to run wild, but I do feel like they can run effectively. And, Chris Johnson gives them a guy who could take it to the house on any given carry, which could be huge in a game like this. But, the key is Kerry Collins, IMO. He (and his passing game cohorts) have to play well...make the right decisions and make the plays when they're there. I'm not as concerned about the loss of Haynesworth for two main reasons, 1) they played P'burgh without him last year and looked good and 2) they have 5 starters on defense in contract years. Never underestimate a contract year. Titans 24, Steelers 17 So, I guess I do think somebody will get to 20. Edited September 10, 200917 yr by 5wide
September 10, 200917 yr Somebody is actually starting Kenny Britt? No idea lol....but hopefully he won't read this thread before the game starts lol.
September 10, 200917 yr I'm going with the Titans, I'm a "renewed" Titans fan. The Titans organization has been very supportive since the passing of our son, and it's much appreciated. Later.
September 10, 200917 yr I'll take the Steelers at home. They've won the last 7 home openers. Willie Parker should be healthy. Only injury on the Steelers side is LB Lawrence Timmons and Keyaron Fox will start in his stead. Steelers return all but 2 starters from last season's team. Should be a smashmouth game. 5Wide and I have a friendly wager on this one. Won't be a surprise who the loser was come Friday.
September 10, 200917 yr Listing to a Pittsburgh station...sounds like they're very, very confident in their team. 34-7 24-3 That's two of the picks I heard. I hope they're wrong. I think they're underestimating Tennessee.
