Scott County really came to play. They got the ball first and marched right down field for a td. Their QB has one of the best play action fakes I've seen in awhile. Boone played sloppy all night. The center snapped the ball over the QB's head numerous times while in the shotgun, they had two field goals and one punt blocked, and their tackling was poor. Given that, they were down 14 to 7 at the half and had a chance to tie it before the break but failed to do so. Charles Quainoo looked great, the best he's played this year. Alford threw a couple of Int's but made up for one by intercepting one himself and ran it 40+ yards on the return. Scott kept the pressure on all night and displayed a very good running game. They're a good football team. Hopefully Boone learns from this game and bounces back next week.

According to the stats my friends in Scott County sent me Josh Walls gained 198 yards including an 82 yard TD run on 16 carries. Brooks Barber added 161 yards and two TDs on 20 carries. Boone County was led by Charles Quainoo with 181 yards on 26 carries. Scott County ran the ball 50 times for 380 yards while Boone County gained 211 yards on 40 carries.

This must have been a quick game, tons of rushing.

I'd say Mr. Simpson will love to hear this. Boone may want to fix that run D before they meet SK.

This is not a surprise. Boone will be a little down this year. Defense couldn't stop the run. Passing game wasn't effective, and overall team speed is below par. They are not a top 6 team in 6A as their ranking said coming in.

That is a big win for Scott Co.

Boone's linebacker core looked very suspect tonight. I think the Rebels will have some long practices in preparation for next week.

Boone looked like crap! Can't stop the run this might be a long year for them with Mr. Simpson at SK and the Ryle running game, not to forget the kid from Cooper who seems to be running all over teams. Let's hope they get this figured out.
