While I'll agree that the sophomore QB for Ashland has alot of potential, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it is the Raceland QB that gets the majority of the love after this one.

 

We won’t know until after the game, but whether it’s the majority or not, I believe the Raceland QB will make his presence known this Friday. I was very impressed with the way he led the Ram offense against Boyd last week…he didn’t melt under fire.

For the Tomcats, Sam Hunter has really improved over the offseason. I expect Raceland’s pass rush will be much more ferocious than GC’s, but I didn’t realize Sam had the running ability he showed against the Muskies. This battle of the Quarterbacks will be one I watch with great interest.

Uh Painter, I believe those should be Raceland Helmets! :irked:

I guess with all the offending I seem to be doing to the Tomcat faithful, I should do the same.

Does anyone know if you can buy tickets prior to the game? I arrived at putnam at 7:00 and still missed GC's TD last week due to waiting in line. If not I suppose I'll just have to get there at 6:30 this time.

I believe Ashland Sporting sells them, and you can also pick them up at the high school office.

Okay, you got me on that one! The 20 yard line looked a little crooked down by the scoreboard Friday night.........were you thinking of my wife and her helmets? :madman:

Although the avatar conversation is riveting...here's an interesting thing I came up with off of the KHSAA website (I know, I am a statistical geek who loves looking at the numbers). Here's each team's record since 1990 (that's as far back as I could find) going into Friday night's game:

 

Raceland 139-78 (64% of games won)

Ashland 138-88 (61% of games won)

 

It's interesting that the 2 teams are so close.
