August 21, 200917 yr Not at all colleges. Well, not FROM the college, but you can get the ISBN's and go to ecampus.com or chegg.com and rent the college textbooks for the classes you need.
August 21, 200917 yr Author I think I am going to major in Pre-Pharmacy, so that will keep me busy in my studying. But also 3 of my best friends go to NKU, so that will be fun.
August 21, 200917 yr Author Since nobody has touched on this yet I will be the first I suppose. Party if you must. But don't do it on nights before early A.M. classes. Because trust me, "it's cool, i'll just get up and go to class then come back and sleep" doesn't usually work out to well. However if you don't party then good for you, your'e better off that way! Earliest class any day is 10:50 so I am good there.

Quite frankly, I'm a little upset at NKU for not making you take one. I had 8 a.m. Chemistry my very first semester. My brother is moving into the dorms up at UD on Saturday. I'll give you the same basic advice I'm going to give him: The biggest adjustment in college is figuring out what to do with all the free time. There's plenty of time for both studying and fun. Don't neglect the first and don't take the second for granted. I'm 25 and let me tell you... it's all downhill after graduation, so enjoy it.

I had 8 a.m. Chemistry my very first semester. That sucks. My advisor was very cool. I told him what I wanted to take and he then told me I should take speech as well, so I did and he found all my classes for me and all, then I asked what time my earliest was and he said 10:50, so I didn't ask, which I meant to, but I will probably make up for it next semester with a few, don't you worry.

August 21, 200917 yr Don't waste your first year doing nothing but drinking :lol:. Study, work hard and relax/party when you can, but focus on school.
August 21, 200917 yr No matter how drunk you got the night before, no matter how tired you are, no matter how much you hate the class, go every time. It will suck at the time, but you will ingratiate yourself to your professors. If you're there all the time, you are much more likely to receive the benefit of the doubt. And that's what it's all about.

I have yet to take an 8 or 9 AM class and it should be my last semester, if not last year lol. I guess I got lucky. In all honestly, if you don't feel you can make it to an early class, unless it is one only offered at that specific time, which in a lot of majors in the upper levels that is the case, then don't take anything before the time you know you'll make it. And 10:50 seems late now, but eventually even that will seem too early and you won't want to move haha. I second going to class everytime, unless you're truly ill. I messed that up a couple of times and lost points on my grade etc. Buy books at the off campus bookstore.
