RockPride Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 At this point in the season rank your top 3 teams in the Commonwealth... 1 - St. Xavier 2 - Trinity 3 - Highlands ....do you think otherwise? If so, why?

If so, why? Hard to argue these, I doubt there can be any others, preseason mentioned that could be argued over them.
NEERFAN Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Knowing that St. X and Trinity both lost some very good players, I'm going to put HHS at the top. I've seen more than a few posts stating this could be the best team in the history of HHS and that goes a long way. 1. HHS 2. St. X 3. Trinity This is just regular season since Trinity usually wins the biggest game between X and T.
RockPride Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 ^ I can buy that.....but I wonder if HHS has the depth to beat either big class school....I know they play up, but this is merely a "who would win" mindset I'm looking for.

I think the Birds would win because their offense is probably the best I have seen at HHS in 35yrs...They have weapons all over the field with more weapons standing on the sideline...They could average 60pts a game if they wanted to..It is going to be that scary!!!!!

According to coach Mueller HHS has the best Seniors,Juniors, and Sophomores that he has ever had.So I would think the team is plenty deep. HHS plays Manual the first game of the season, then plays Cincy X a little later in the season. Thats when we will find out how deep they really are.
FalconBacker Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 :thumb: Maybe 4 - 10 would be more debatable I agree not much debate with those three teams, pretty obvious selections. A better discussion would be the top 10. Small schools like Ft. Campbell could at least be a point of the discussion.
CentreRocks Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 At this point in the year I would put Trinity 3rd in this group. Way too young. Potentially different analysis at the end of the year. If you're gonna get Trinity, better do it this year because the freshman and sophomore classes are unbelievable.
