July 31, 200917 yr I'm really upset by this. I can't say I'm suprised that Manny is on the list. However, Papi doesn't seem like he would be there. He did live in the DR and from what I've heard a lot of OTC drugs there would cause a positive test here. Not taking up for him. However, he's one of the only ones that said he's willing to tell what he tested positive for and when. Honestly at this point if Ozzie Smith, Cal Ripken, and Dustin Pedroia tested positive I wouldn't be suprised.

That's just the way baseball was for a good while.

You're the one who always lets us Reds fans know that a guy isn't very good b/c he's never done it before or only had one good year. You really thought a guy from the Dominican that wasn't real good for a while, but then became great wasn't on something?
July 31, 200917 yr They should just release all the names to get this thing over with. The fans know who used, just look at some of the number increases these guys had. Owner's condoned it, the MLB looked the other way and fans bought tickets in record numbers to watch balls fly over the fence. I fail now to see the outrage.....with all the incentives to use I'm more suprised by those who didn't at this point.

July 31, 200917 yr They should just release all the names to get this thing over with.MLB can't release the names ... the players were promised confidentiality. The reason the names are being leaked in trickle fashion is because the list had to be released to the court system in the BALCO case. My guess is there is a west-coast lawyer who has the complete list and will leak the names one by one over the next several years.
