July 27, 200917 yr Just saw on ESPN news that he is considering it, possible conditions that he publicly apolgize for betting on baseball and he would not be allowed to manage.
July 27, 200917 yr Or, if Rose gets in the HOF everyone may forget about the fact that the steroid freaks won't get in. That is, if Rose somehow would get in.
July 27, 200917 yr I think if they have HOF numbers, they all should get in. That includes Bonds, McGwire, Palmeiro, Clemens, etc. etc.

July 27, 200917 yr The problem is their cheating changed the bar, and it's near impossible to establish when the threshold grew. That's true but the real problem is determining who cheated and who didn't.

July 27, 200917 yr I wish they would, Reds fans need some good news. Unless he wears a Phillies hat on his plaque
July 27, 200917 yr My other guess is that eventually the steroid freaks will get in and this debate will rehash. While Rose broke a rule posted on the locker room wall and compromised the integrity of each game. You're allowing people in that have broken the law and compromised the integrity of all offensive records. May as well let em all in.

That includes Bonds, McGwire, Palmeiro, Clemens, etc. etc. :thumb: Let everyone in and post something on their plaques about their indiscretions; this includes Pete Rose and his gambling. Let's get Shoeless Joe Jackson in the HOF also.

It's just too hard to distinguish the innocents from the guilties at this point, IMO. It is what it is. Put them in and continue trying to clean the sport up.
July 27, 200917 yr I would love to see Pete get in while my dad is still in good health to enjoy it. It frustrates him bad...myself too! The older I get the more I realize Pete hasn't done much to help his cause but he is still in the all time top of the tops to play the game! Top 5 player of all time in your opinions? Top 10?
