Sometimes it is hard being a Christian

Featured Replies

No one is saying that LBBC has to apologize for anything. But, why do people have to be afraid to pose a question such as "is honesty intrinsically Christian" for instance?
Don't you think UKMF's post...

[What does that have to do with being a Christian?

Are Muslims or Jews or people of other religions not honest?]

...came off as the least bit confrontational? Does it not sound like he is accusing LBBC of declaring his to be the one true religion? And lastly--and I think, most importantly--when the hell did I start taking LBBC's side on stuff anyway? I mean, what's up with that?!

Seriously- any side that has Habib, you, AND LBBC is hands down a winner. :D

Funny, I would've said just the opposite....:D

I will admit that you, RM, and formerky represent an equally diverse squad. Which is why me being on your opponent's pushes them over the top. :D

When was the last time UKMustang and I were on the same side of anything?:idunno:

Can I join this team? :D

Seriously, typing has a huge disadvantage over the spoken word. You can't read body language or tone of voice. I think that UKMF mistook LBBC's intent and that UKMF's original post did sound a bit confrontational, though that may not have been his intent. He does bring up a good point that could be a thread all of it's own.

That being said...I'm not sure which side I'm really on.

I was at the state tournament this year and went to buy a coke, it was 2.50, I gave the guy a 10 and he gave me 17.50 back. I didn't realize until I was back at the hotel, but the next morning session I went to find the guy and give him the extra money and he looked like I had 7 heads. I could have kept the extra $10, but the guy was old and it looked like he couldn't afford to come up short on his drawer; and it was the right thing to do. Is that the kinda stuff you're asking about LBBC?

O absolutely. It would have been so easy to pocket that and no one would have ever known. Had to be tempting.

When was the last time UKMustang and I were on the same side of anything?:idunno:

 Has there ever been one?

I almost posting this might be a first on us agreeing on something.:lol::lol::lol:

I do appreciate it.:thumb:

No, I think UKMF just read too much into a casual comment. You however (based on your recent threads) have a bit of an agenda in the matter.

You obviously don't know me very well. Those threads were directed mainly towards three posters, whose spiritual values I respect and am impressed with (and anyone else who joined in was just icing on the cake). I also value their opinions and had a few thread ideas I thought they may find interesting and could spark good discussion. I think I know what you are implying and it's silly, but oh well, no sleep lost here. :D

As far as this thread goes...well it's easy to see what I intended, though the Christian brethren seemed to ignore it. I guess I need to use my original disclaimer in ever religion based thread.

You could have made the point without attacking lbbc...then you could have added a #5 on post 40. :D

I guess 4 out of 5 ain't bad...

Especially for an infidel. :p

It's not. It is a poster trying to be offended where there is no offense. It is a poster trying to read something into a post that is not there.

I am done with your line of questioning in this thread because it didn't deserve the post I made here concerning it.

I agree. This another instance of "political correctness" gone awry. Mustang needs to do what my grandmother use to tell us to do when we got "our underwear in a wad" over nothing . . . "scratch our mad place and get glad again!":D

I have no idea where you guys are getting this absurd idea that I was offended or something by the original post.

I simply asked a question that I thought was related. I don't know how much clearer I can make it.

I can't tarnish my rebellious image! :taz:

:D

Well now you have me upset, too.

This is what frustrates me about P&R- we do political threads, RM hates me. We do religious threads, formerky hates me.

I'm going to go read some von Mises to cheer me up. :D

I don't hate you. :D
