It's not asking a question or really contributing anything...just vainly saying, "hey, I did they right thing guys". This is just one non-Christians opinion, so I'm sure it will be dismissed. Considering the first post asked for others to share to help us build each other up, I would gather that it was not just a self-serving post, but an opportunity for other Christians to see that they are not the only one struggling with their worldly self.

But, by using the qualifier "Chrstian", it makes the statement read as if the writer feels that being a Christian is what made him honest in this case. Which, he may feel.LBBC was making a commentary on his own religion and the moral standards that it expects him to follow, without predjudice or commentary toward any other religion, or the lack thereof. Never have understood why religious people constantly have to apologize for who they are.

No one is saying that LBBC has to apologize for anything. But, why do people have to be afraid to pose a question such as "is honesty intrinsically Christian" for instance?

I didn't mean any disrespect toward anyone, least of all LBBC. But, I did think UKM posted a relevant and legitimate question.

Listing off your accomplishments day-to-day is petty and vain at the least. Let's see: 1. Today I didn't kill anyone. 2. Just now at lunch, I left my change for someone that may need it more than I. 3. I'm the only person in the office right now...I am not stealing anything. 4. I briefly considered cursing out the idiot who cut me off...but realized it really wasn't that big of deal. See...these aren't Christian values, these are things that a decent person does. And you don't see others on this board listing off the good things they do each and every day. I get it, LBBC thinks he is a good person and is proud of that fact. But, a great person doesn't feel the need to constantly remind others of the good deeds they do each and every day. To do so, is vain and self-serving, period! And to further add that it's because he is a Christian reeks of arrogance to many observers. Plus if someone would've used any other religion besides Christianity, the Christians on this board would be quick to point out that Christians are also moral. I think UKMF was just posing a question, one that apparently upset several on this board.
