July 29, 200917 yr Well, my 99 Buick Le Sabre didn't qualify. Neither does my 95 Subaru Wagon. My 95 Grand Am didn't either, but I went ahead and bought a Ford Focus. All of my conservatives friends are high five-ing me for buying from "the only car company to not take a bailout." Anything to make my conservative friends (and my uncle that works in the Ford corporate office) happy.
July 29, 200917 yr I know someone who did this. They got 4500 for their car, and got a 2000 rebate with the car they bought so they got about a 19,000 car for around 12,000.
July 29, 200917 yr My 98 Grand Prix with 285,000 miles that's running on 3 cylinders and gets 10 mpg didn't qualify because the gov sits shows it as 19 mpg.:ohbrother::puke:
