July 14, 200917 yr Kind of went 180 on this. Got rid of my land line. I know a lot of people who have done that.
July 14, 200917 yr I think some of you misread Mr. Network's post. He did not get rid of his cell phone, he's simply not using it, unless it's an emergency. There's a big difference between the two.
July 14, 200917 yr I know a lot of people who have done that. All we were getting were prerecorded telemarketing messages. Took those funds and applied to upgrade to HD on the cable. Now I need a big flat screen hdtv.
July 14, 200917 yr Just got back from Florida. My phone was turned off once i crossed the FL state line and wasn't turned back on until I got to Nashville on my way home. It was peaceful. But on the topic of the thread, I just leave mine on silent the majority of the time when I'm not on call.
July 14, 200917 yr I couldn't do this. My cell phone is my only phone, and therefore without it cannot contact anyone anywhere or be contacted. As far as e-mails go, if I don't want to answer an e-mail that came in, I just pretend I didn't see it till the next day. But I can see where you would eliminate that one.
