That has nothing to do with anything. I would rather have some who knows what they are doing.

 

That's my point. Seems to me like the guy who played college football in the toughest conference in college football with one of the most heralded football players to come from this state(Tim Couch) would know just a little bit more about football than the guy who was the point guard for the national championship winning basketball team. And that's not even mentioning his pro career as well.

 

 

If Anthony Epps knows more about football than Craig Yeast, then maybe Epps should be the head coach at Marion County, because that would be remarkable if he does know more than Craig.

What kind of coach leaves a school high and dry after being with them for the past year, then being promoted to the OC and allowed to install HIS offense, then run it through the spring and summer....then LEAVE just a few days BEFORE full time practice starts??? What does he owe them???? How about a face to face explanation to the kids that he is jumping ship on!!!! You already know the answer to that question so why do you even insult the intelligence of all who read the posts??? What does he owe them??? Come on.

I think he has been a coach at Mercer County, Danville, Lincoln County and now Marion. Only been at each school for one year.

I know that the Lincoln county faithful are upset in regards to the departure of Coach Yeast. However, be thankful that Coach Settles is still the Leader of the your program. He has been in tougher situations, and he will overcome this one.

Mike Settles is a bright guy. I think he'll be OK.

This is a very bad situation for LC. Yeast was promoted to OC in the spring, installed his new offense, the left one day before the season starts. What makes the situation worse is that many people went to bat for Yeast to get the job.

 

This is a very young team and learning a new offense at this point will be a tough task. LC needs stability, they've been through NUMEROUS OC's the past 5 or 6 years. The other thing that makes this a difficult situation is that most schools are fully staffed by this point of the summer. So it almost seems as if the Pats are going to have to promote from within. If so I'd like to see Travis Leffew get a shot. He and Bobby played for a brilliant offensive minded coach at UofL and Travis was a star lineman on those teams that lit up the scoreboard.

Settles and company will be fine.

Can't be mad at a guy that wants a job to support his family. Not sure what the details were at LC, but sounds like he didn't have a full time day job.
