I agree 100%. After reading the artical I believe I would have done the same thing if I did not have a working job in the Lincoln School system. Supporting family comes first.

Taking a full-time day job at Marion County certainly makes the move a little more understandable. It does put Lincoln County in a tight spot, but upon reading more the move seem a little better.

The surprise to the Lincoiln staff was that he NEVER asked for a job in the Lincoln system. I am sure that Lincoln could have found an instructional assistant's job for him in one of the schools, too.

What does he owe them???? How about some LOYALTY! IMO, Lincoln is better off without Yeast...but it should have happenend before now. What kind of coach leaves a school high and dry after being with them for the past year, then being promoted to the OC and allowed to install HIS offense, then run it through the spring and summer....then LEAVE just a few days BEFORE full time practice starts??? What does he owe them???? How about a face to face explanation to the kids that he is jumping ship on!!!! You already know the answer to that question so why do you even insult the intelligence of all who read the posts??? What does he owe them??? Come on.

I'm not familiar enough with Lincoln's program/school system so I wasn't aware of that. It's all water under the bridge now, though.

I find reading this thread typical of how people are judged even before all the facts are known. I love football, maybe too much, but family and career have to come first and I think Coach Yeast has done that.

Well I know for a fact that Yeast had asked for a job in the Lincoln school system. He has also been looking for other jobs around Lincoln which could keep him closer to the team, but none became available. And I wouldn't blame Yeast too much, because it seems that Lincoln has a revolving door for coaches in most sports there. At some point I would have to stop blaming the coaches and look more at the A.D. and other school administrators to find out what is going on.

A lot has been said about this, but when you look 45 kids in the face and tell them that you are their for them and your committed to them and how you don't need the money, you talk about being brothers and about being committed to each other as a staff and as a team. I kind of have a problem with how he when about it.

He could of took the job in the school, took the job as a track coach and stayed on the rest season as OC at Lincoln. He could have showed the kids what it is to make a commitment and to stay with it.

He told me that he would be their at least one more year.

All I can say is talk is cheep action or reaction is the man. My best wishes to Yeast.
