Track the Reds (Week 14)

And maybe, just maybe, you're overreacting to a tough loss.

Heck, Thompson came into the game with virtually the same ERA as Owings ...

And they've lost 2 of 3 since that loss. By a total of 30 runs...

They better get it together soon or they'll be out of it by the all-star break

If they were so washed out by the Friday night loss, isn't it more likely that they would have laid an egg the next day and now have lost three straight?

Simply being a realist...
Or a little panicky ...

Every team will have a game like this at some point in the year. Nothing to go crazy over.

I guess we'll let the rest of the season decide that one

Saturday, you were all optimism:

Last night's loss was brutal....but I really like the way this team has been playing the last week or so. If they can keep this up they will be playing games that mean something late into September

For sure...this game is over and done. Friday's game was a backbreaker though, IMO of course.

Frankly, I don't think the Reds are in the race to stay unless they do something to upgrade the offense, but to pin the entire season on one game in July is a bit excessive and overdramatic.

That was also before that last two days...sure team's get blown out over the course of the season...but it doesn't happen twice in a row often.

Maybe i'm overreacting, but IMO, their year is over. They've been 2-3 games out all year and I honestly thought they had a shot once they got healthy. I don't think that's the case anymore

Maybe i'm overreacting
Yeah, I would say so ...
Yeah, I would say so ...

I hope everybody on this board comes back later this year and quotes this convo if the Reds are still in it during September. I'll gladly say I overreacted then...

They don't have to be in it in September for you to be wrong ...

Teams just don't stay in the race until July then fall out for no reason. Especially in such a weak division.
