It shouldn't be a topic of discussion much longer. Jackson's presence on the bench next season, according to one NBA coaching source, is "99.9 percent" assured, with another source indicating that Jackson's return will be publicly confirmed by the Lakers by early next week at the latest.

The Lakers haven't repeated yet......too early to crown them back to back champions.

That's cool though the Lakers are better than everyone else at everything. Phil is the greatest coach in sports history, Kobe is alot better than Jordan, Gasol would school Bill Russell, Bynum is the next Shaq, Derek Fisher is better than Magic, Odom is like Larry Bird and Karl Malone rolled into one, Sasha Vujacic is Steve Kerr with cooler hair, DJ Mbenga is a beast, Josh Powell brings back memories of Shawn Kemp, Jordan Farmar and Luke Walton are like Bob Cousy and Havlicheck. Oh and about Trevor Ariza and Shannon Brown, forget them, those two play like Jason Caffey and Jud Buechler:rolleyes:

All I am saying is Phil is the best coach ever in the NBA....... However, I did get to see game 5 of the 1997 NBA Final here in Japan a few days ago. For some reason it was on tv, but anyways, MJ reminded me an awful lot of Kobe so it's good that we can actually agree on something. And I like Shannon Brown. Ariza is a bum with an idiot agent though.

July 4, 200917 yr I believe that this is Phil's last year. His contract is up, his health is declining. Greatest coach in history.
July 4, 200917 yr What type of health problems does PJ have? He's been struggling with health for a long time. I know he has terrible knees and can not do anything but sit on the bench. ESPN just said that he had to be cleared by team doctors as healthy to coach again. I am sure at his age he is getting pretty worn down especially with all the stress basketball has put on him both mentally and physically.
