My wife and I have a date night tonight. Which movie should we see between Public Enemy and The Proposal, and please tell me why.

Public Enemy does not seem to a date type movie.

The movie with Cameron Diaz seems to be a great chic movie.

Gotta go with Public Enemies...actually has some decent romance in it, filled with all the bank robbing, fed stealing joy you could ever want for.

You have to go with The Proposal. Obviously, Public Enemies would be a better movie for you to watch, but pick your battles carefully with the sig other ;-)

Public enemies for sure. I don't know what kind of movies you or your wife like, but there's a nice balance between romance and gunfire so there should be something for everyone. Even if she hates action movies she gets to look at Johnny Depp the whole time.

She loves Johnny Depp.

She loves Johnny Depp.

I think you have answered your own question. But FWIW, "My Sister's Keeper", is the ultimate chick flick and date movie. I took my wife to see it on our date last Friday and it was very good. I will admit to enjoying it.

Truth be told, I would rather see The Proposal.

^ You are secure in your masculinity and show it by admitting to this. But could you go watch The Proposal with Ram instead of your wife? That would show a lot of security.

You couldn't pay me to watch "The Proposal". It looks just like every other chick flick that's ever been made.

Guy and girl don't want eachother.

Guy and girl pretend to want each other.

Guy and girl fall in love.

Something happens that makes guy/or girl think that the other one really doesn't want to be together.

Movie is sad for a bit.

Guy and girl end up back together at end of movie and everyone lives happily ever after.

Sorry, I should have labeled that as a spoiler.

We're probably going to see Public Enemies. We don't go often, but when the wife and I both agree on one (she's a Johnny Depp fan also), we go.

The only chick flick that doesn't fit this is the one with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. I cannot remember the name of the movie but I was shocked that they didn't reconcile. Hated the movie by the way, maybe that is why I can't remember the name of it.

Of course you would. Let me guess you're going to wear your crocs and cry though the movie.

Not unless he has me at gun point, and he better not get to close with that gun, or I will take it away from him and make him wear some real shoes.

Go see Public Enemy, you both will like it, and it won't cause you to start sitting down to pee.
