I doubt that the kicking game is addressed in 7-7's, but who is going to be handling the kicking and punting duties for HHS in 2009? Will Weinel be doing the kicking and Hogue be doing the punting? How have they looked this spring/summer?

 

Also, is Colin Rosenhagen on the team this year? If so, what position is he playing?

I agree with you to a point Guru. I don't want Will to think this season is all on his shoulders. He's a great player and wonderful young man, but this team needs to realize they have to continue to work hard ALL season. They have the opportunity to have a great season and make wonderful memories. At some point this season they'll be challenged (as most teams) to see how bad they want it. In addition to the receivers you mentioned, I thought Gall had some really nice catches. And Bardo looked absolutely superb. Kid threw the long ball last night as well as, if not better than, any Highlands qb I've seen in a very, very long time (and that would include the big boy).

 

 

 

If this is the case I guess in 10 years we'll have two Bluebird QB's with a Superbowl Ring and some NCAA Division I and SEC records. Hopefully Bardo will be able to fill those size 16's left by J LO!

I think we all would love to see Wil Bardo develop into a top QB in the Nation. And for what it's worth, I think he can with some outside training. And I'm sure he is getting it. That would not only put the Birds into the promise land but would do wonders for a great kid. And with the early National exposure and the many scouts that will follow the Birds this year, there should be many offers. Maybe even in the SEC like the "big boy". I can see it now, Bardo to Collinsworth for the TD in the Swamp! What? What's wrong with that? Sounds good to me!

 

I guess we should let the year play out and see what happens. Maybe Dale should be the only one allowed to hand out all the "pump me up and make me feel good" adjectives for the team. Stop that madness please! Maybe there is something behind it. Who knows!

 

Seriously, I can't wait to see this years version of the Birds. They do have a lot of promise from what I read and am told.

Okay I took the bait. They have said there are some very good fisherman on this site.

Any word on Roller. Did he play in the event or was he at camp with others?

Is Welz going to play WR, TE or OL on offense this year?

I have mentioned this in another thread somewhere but if you haven't been out to see Will Bardo workout, then you are missing something special. This kid has a Monster arm and is very quick on his feet. I would imagine all the hard work that Will has been doing this past spring is really starting to pay off. Keep it up Will!!
