While I would love to see it, Shaq is not what the Cavs need. If I was Cleveland I would throw every spare penny I could find at Odom.

It would truly be compelling that is for certain! I think Shaq would gladly take the backseat to Lebron for another title shot!

What? How far have they taken teams? Neither one of them can guard anyone at their positions. No GM in all of the NBA would trade LBJ for Nash and Amare. Well it is the NBA, so no good ones would.

No winning basketball games would be the number one reason. Selling seats is easier when you win games. If you took every marketing reason out of it and gave every franchise the option of starting a team to win a title and they could choose LBJ or Amare and Nash, nobody in their right mind would pass on LBJ. He just went an entire postseason averaging over 50 combined points, rebounds, and assists. He's got no help and if Delonte West grabbed a defensive rebound they are in the finals.

If the rumors of the players involved are true, I'm not really sure why Phoenix would do this...How much money will they really save by sending Shaq to Cleveland for Sasha Pavlovic and Ben Wallace??

Ah, LeBron is truely better than having both of them. Let's see, LeBron was in the conference finals and the Suns were watching the playoffs. Don't give me the Western Conference crap because a few of the teams in the playoffs in the West were garbage or hurt, or both.

Your right, it's not debatable. It's wrong. Nash and Amare are great, but LeBron gets you so much closer to being an elite team.

I'm worried about him clogging the lane. I think for 20 minutes he could do pretty well on Howard. If weakings like Gasol can hold there own against him I like Shaq's chances.

I believe that is what most franchises have in mind at the core. Making money. Which the best way to do that is..... to win! Which is why they would do the trade.

They will probably save alot. Wallace will retire and take a buy out. They only have to pay Sasha 1.1 guaranteed out of like 5 million dollars. They save 15 million easy.

Well he has been to the finals with 3 different teams. The Shaq that won in LA could have won with alot of other players from that era such as: Reggie Miller, Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, T-Mac, insert another all-star. Just about any other legit star other than Iverson. Kobe was great then, but not what he was in the following years so it's not like he played with the best Kobe. That Shaq was a beast.

 

And had the Suns not ruined their team they probably could have already have won a title. They could have kept Joe Johnson instead of letting him go a few years ago, traded Marion for Shaq like they did and won a title, kept Raja Bell and would have been a contender.
