June 26, 200917 yr I've never been so into a soccer game as I was that one yesterday. It was awesome. Good soccer can do that for ya. The MLS does nothing to help popularize soccer in America, even though its our league. I hardly watch the MLS, but love any kind of International/Club Soccer.
June 28, 200917 yr Watching the Spain vs. South Africa game at the moment (ESPN2) and the score is nil to nil at the end of the first 45 minutes of play. I am quite surprised to see number of empty seats in the stadium as indeed it is the locals own team playing in this match. I would have thought that at least this match would have been sold out. Spain indeed looks tired and doesn't look as sharp as they have in the other matches this week. I guess playing for third place when you thought you would be playing for 1st does that to a team.

June 28, 200917 yr I am surprised that this match hasn't been moved to ABC. I can understand it not being played on the big network if the USA wasn't playing, but with the MNT playing, I am just surprised that they aren't moving this game to the big time. I mean channel nine is just showing paid program (the local ABC network) until 5pm and then it's only a old movie.
