Wrong on Beth Queen, she played in the post. Butler played the position last year.

I think if you reread my post you will see I said Beth Queen played the post position last year until injured. I am aware Butler played the point guard position. Keller Menke played the guard position last year. You stated that she couldn't play point because she was needed in the post position. I was just pointing out that she was not the post player last season and probably would not be this season.

Sorry about that on Queen playing the point, but Menke will play in the post primarily. Most of her points last year came from less than 10 feet in and the free throw line, and as bad as the Lady Royals shot last year from the field, there are plenty of chances for offensive putbacks.

What teams are playing in this?

Mason County, West Carter, Augusta, East Carter, Bracken County and Harrison County. They will be playing five games each. There are also a few JV games also.

Is there a Simms and Hardin girl that plays in the middle school

Is there a Simms and Hardin girl that plays in the middle school

Yes. Hardin is one of those just playing middle school this year. I think she played freshman last year. Simms is playing JV I think. They are both going to be 8th graders.

Rumor has it that a few more players will be playing next week.

I do not think you are right on Hardin or Simms. Hardin is playing AAU right now and that is why she is not particpating with the high school, Simms is playing JV this summer, dont know about next year.......depends who comes back. They definitely need numbers. Middle school has a nice team.

As of about a week ago, Hardin was just playing middle school along with Butler (of course they are playing AAU), but come school time who knows, this could change. But her mother wants her to just play middle school as of right now.

And how am I not right on Simms? She is traveling with the JV right now.

Rumor has it that Coach Butler has got a few committments thru some phone calls and making the girls feel like they are wanted to play next week. Players that I was told was playing was Morton, Cropper, Henry, and Butler.

Considering all these teams but one are on their 09-10 schedule, this should a good indicator of the upcoming season.

I did notice that they are not scheduled to play St. Patrick yet. This is always a good "crosstown rivalry" game.

I noticed that as well. Could it be bitterness for St. Pat knocking them out of the tournament last year?

That would be good news for them. I figured some of these girls wouldn't be able to stay away for too long.

Only reason Simms is playing is because there is not enough girls, so I guess you could say that you are right. Hopefully this will make her better.:D

Probably the girls don't mind, the parents probably don't want them to stay away for long:thumb:

Are you saying Bitterness on Mason's part for not having them in the summer camp? An invite to the summer camp was sent out to everyone in the tenth Region plus some more. St. Pat chooses not to play in the camp. They played every year under the previous coach but not now. Bitterness on who's part?????:ohbrother::ohbrother:
