Manship from Montgomery Co, I was told, is playing with the Mason Co team today. There were rumors at the end of the season that he would be transfering to Mason Co....must be true.

Did the Manship kid start for the Indians last season? Can't recall the name,what class will he be in? This has to be the first transfer Mason County has gotten from Mt. Sterling. Ohio, Bracken County and Lewis County have usually been on the losing end of transfers to the Royals, but never Montgomery County.:idunno: As far as top ten players, Jordan Gilbert could possibly be top 5, don't forget Dylan Hamilton of Bracken County. A comment on all the talent and top 10 players at Clark County, if they don't get better conditioned to press and handle a press, they will never beat Mason County and I'm a big Cardinal fan, but that regional tournament game last season they were out run and sorely looked out of condition,especially the big 3 of Stenzel,Zollo and Rogers, get them in shape Hump!:thumb:

I agree Rogers was out of shape, but you are forgetting that he had not played for 6 weeks, due to a broken nose and 2 surgeries. Zollo had a bad high ankel sprain in the semi-finals game, and sat out most or all of a quarter...didn't even know if he would get to play the next night in the finals. He played but as you stated it showed he wasn't 100%

 

Not sure what grade Manship is in.

I was at the game, Brossart did win the game, but the Camels 3 starting seniors combined for 12 points i believe and Smith had 13 and Jolly had 17. They both stepped up big, and if the game would of went the other way, people on here might have different opinions about who is better Armstrong or Smith.

 

Could it be that the Mustang's game plan was to stop the senior "big 3" for the Camels, thus giving Smith some looks he won't get so easily this year?? Manship will be a senior this fall. His dad took a job at the hospital in Maysville.

My understanding is that Manship is hitting the boards hard for Mason,Barner is still a Royal and will be playing at Mason County also.

Jolly should definitely be in consideration fro a top ten player in the region next year. I never said Smith was, just that he will surprise alot of people this year. The kid has talent, and will be able to show it this year.

Malcolm Thomas of Harrison Co. is at least top 12.
