Elliott County 2009/2010

From what I have heard this years team will be better than last years. My source says Nickell, Knipp, And Faulkner will be as good or better than last years trio. Ison will be stepping in where T Knipp was last year and some Fraley kid will be better than the older Knipp was. Looks like the EC fans may be doing a 4-peat.

This is the very reason almost every EC thread was shut down last year. Do you realize how good last years team was? Timmy Knipp was the 4th option! That says alot. I wish EC the best, but to say that they are going to be better this year is, well, extremely far-fetched.

Don't try to hype him up, there is no way he is going to be the best in the state or even in his class next year. He is a talented player with potential, but nowhere near the player your making him out to be.

This same type of thing happened last year with the big 3 from Elliot County.

People on here were saying Ferguson is the best shooter in the state, and Faulkner is the best point guard, and anouncing them as the state champs already. Its silly, what they do last year after all that hype, they lost.

Timmy is a top 15 player in the state. I couldn't put him in the top 5, but I would be mad if he were somewhere between 6-10. Top 15 is a solid ranking though, IMO.

I am not bashing. I loved watching Elliott County at the state and was impressed with Knipp's game. But he has a ways too go with his quickness and overall intensity to be Big Time Div. I.

Strength is a big hurdle for him. If he wants to be a great player he will be, IMO. It's up to him.

Yes, strength is a big question mark.

You need another SOURCE! Why you people get on here and say stuff like this blows my mind! Creating such undo expectations on these kids when you know very well they are no where in the same league. Knipp will have to quit sulking & be a leader. Nickell is a good player & will be solid if he does not get overpowered. Faulkner should not be compared to his cousins & no one at EC should as it is just not fair to the kid. Fraley kid I do not know anything about but I am sure he suffers from the Coach Mayse sendrom just like the Ison kid as both have unjustly gathered more than their fair share of pine instead of being developed. The best thing these kids have going for them this year is the change in the head coach position.

Timmy doesn't sulk that's just Timmy being Timmy! People have a misconception of this kid that's unreal and need to give it a rest.

And yes, Rick would take the starters out in the 4th quarter.

You People....hmmmm. Every one is entitled to their own opinion about Coaches, players and teams. Just because it doesn't correlate with your's is no reason to label someone. No one has to create anything. These kid's will be expected to win a regional title. Whether they get it done or not remains to be seen. About the head coach change.....all the years you(or your player) were involved with the Elliott team they had a winning record and went to state. Why the contempt for the coach unless of course it was a I, me, or mine thing because the TEAM did fantastic. You get it...the TEAM.

Some things never change.
