June 9, 200917 yr I can see Bradford winning it again. If the top 3 QBs put up similar stats from last season AND Bradford and OU beat Texas and win out, the award will go to Bradford. This is as likely a scenario as any, IMO. I do think Tebow is the favorite, but I can easily see Bradford winning or McCoy. Anyone else would be shocking to me. Well last year Bradford lost to Texas and McCoy but STILL won the Heisman so I'm not sure the Red River Shootout is the "key" to a Heisman.

Unfortunately the award is as politcal as they come. I thought McFadden was the best two years ago, and Tebow last year but neither won the award that year. Maxwell might be a better judge really.

If everything is equal to last year, I think the voters would give Tebow the Heisman. I think that either Bradford or McCoy need to be lights out AND undefeated to take the award from Tebow (barring something unforseen, like an injury or a five loss season for Florida or something no one is expecting). I feel like there was some backlash after OU got handled in the title game about giving the award to Bradford. I think if everything is equal this coming year, that will come into play and Tebow would get the award. JMO

June 11, 200917 yr Pryor So. QB from The Ohio State University. He keeps being overlooked. Not sure if he will win it, but mark my words he WILL BE a finalist.
June 11, 200917 yr Author Pryor So. QB from The Ohio State University. He keeps being overlooked. Not sure if he will win it, but mark my words he WILL BE a finalist. I don't see how he can, he's mobile, yes. But he is not that good of a passer and he isn't going to have ungodly rushing #'s to make up for that. I'm sorry, but he isn't even the best Quarterback in his own conference-and the Big 10 isn't exactly the Big 12. And yes, I know he has thrown for a pretty good %, but if you watch him play he's not a very polished passer and I don't see Ohio State being in the National Title hunt that would propel him in the race. If Ohio State is undefeated or has just one loss and is in the top 3 of the BCS at the end of the season, I could see Pryor getting there. But I just don't see that happeneing.
June 11, 200917 yr Pryor So. QB from The Ohio State University. He keeps being overlooked. Not sure if he will win it, but mark my words he WILL BE a finalist. Unless Pryor is greatly improved from last year the only way he will get to New York is if bias plays in. Pryor isn't in the top 15 QB's in the country, especially statistically speaking which has a huge part to play in the Heisman race. A beatdown by USC early in the season will hopefully end all of this. Pryor is a decent, yes I said DECENT running QB. No he's not Vick, Vince Young, Pat White or even Eric Crouch. Other QB's are better runners and passers which include the likes of Colt McCoy, Robert Griffin, Tebow. Pryor is a pathetic passer. I just don't see the allure. Sure he won games last year, but he was a caretaker, his job was to not screw up. OSU was loaded with experienced talent, and have what, two good teams in their conference? Pryor so far is all hype. He may really become a player this year, but last year proved nothing. Other QB's have played as freshmen and played well so I don't want to hear that excuse either. I think that 1 loss takes Pryor out of the race, if there is any justice to the Heisman. USC will give that to them. I just don't see how he could be above Griffin. Maybe the wins and losses, but I expect Baylor to be much improved. 7 wins at Baylor is like 11 or 12 at Ohio State.
