Sources have reported that a freshly dead rattlesnake was brought to the Shell Station near US 127 and Knob Lick Road in Junction City on Saturday afternoon. Robert Peaveyhouse was injured after placing the snake's head into his mouth, reportedly for a photo opportunity. The venom was squeezed out as Peaveyhouse held the snake's head in his mouth. At the time of this publishing, the condition of Peaveyhouse is not known. I would like to take this opportunity to remind all readers that placing a rattlesnake head in your mouth is not recommended. Not at all.
