The last thing we need is another war in a different country, but just the same, I can't see the U.N. just sitting back and allowing them to do this. Apparently, telling them not to do it isn't working, nor the threat of sanctions. I hate to say it, but action may be the only answer.

I don't know about you but I put very little if any confidence in the UN in doing much of anything , they no doubt will do something but what.....another no,no don't do that again type slap on the hand? :irked:

They seem to be content just acting as if everything is o.k. and refusing to get involved. I hope that by the time they dig their heads out of the sand, it won't be too late.
May 25, 200917 yr This will have to be handled eventually. The question is just how long do you let it go? All of the ingredients are there for disaster: A 3rd world country that is WAY too agressive and WAY too full of itself A very REAL weapon of mass destruction A very real Nut Job in charge of the whole situation It's not like the 3000 pound elephant in the room. The elephants rarely ever blow up in aimed strikes with mushroom clouds. This is a real situation that calls for something to be done, more than just paying money to the hostile country that is now a threat to the whole world to make nice and play well with others. We tried that. Ignoring him did not work. Time outs have not worked with him. Witholding his allowance has not worked. Positive criticism/positive reinforcement accomplished nothing. Honestly, it is time for the whole world to lay down the mother of all spankings on this guy. A spine crushing, knee collapsing, colon swelling old fashioned "wood-paddle-to-your-backside" fanny whack. It is all he seems to understand. We know what the real aim to having this weapon is. The only real question we have to answer is what do we do now? How do we handle the thinly veiled threat?

May 25, 200917 yr Iran is begining to beg for it, too. I say if they want nukes, let them have them. We'll drop a few dozen, whatever they catch, they keep.... Add to that, we still owe Iran for a little situation that they started a few decades ago.
