May 21, 200917 yr We had a deer die close to our practice field in high school... I swear that smell soaked into the ground, and it smelled that awful smell you are taking about for weeks...
May 21, 200917 yr Well done! Not many smells worse then a rotting carcass. Especially when it's in the crawl space under your house. I had the pleasant duty of removing a maggot-ridden raccoon last year in that very spot.

That definately would be worse. If I had to go under a crawl space for that thing I would have had to rent a gas mask. Mr BWF was out of town yesterday. I told him of my adventure and he said, "You know, I thought I smelled something Tuesday but couldnt find anything." You can imagine how well THAT went over. :irked:

May 21, 200917 yr UGH! Not good! This was early last spring, April maybe. The smell starting coming in through the ductwork. Papa had to crawl in with rubber gloves, a shovel and a garbage bag. All I had for "olfactory protection" was those little masks that folks use when they're cutting grass. It was pretty nasty.

May 22, 200917 yr I guess the Highway Dept picked it up yesterday as it was gone and cleaned up when I went by last night or unless Hondo had his old crew do it. (ha!) JD
