According to the article Mr. Draud wants to have the ability to have his grandchildren attend Kenton County Schools.

 

Let me see if I understand this. He was a superintendent where, lived where and his son went to school where?

I thought the exact same thing when I read the article.

As the leader of the Ludlow School district Jon Draud...was the boss at Ludlow and yet sent his son to Highlands.

Yes it is old news but was brought back to the forefront by the Cinti Enquirer

article in Sundays paper.

I understand that. The Enquirer must have been having a slow news day. I just don't see it as being newsworthy. It's not at all unusual.

I don't see the big deal, if they get the signatures needed, its the people in this area right to do so. Its the very same argument we are having in the public/private thread. Parents should be able to choose where they want to send their children. If its all done to the letter of the law, I have no beef.

So now Mr. Draud wants his kids to be able to go to school that is within a mile vs that long 2 mile trek and , yet, he didn't want his kid to walk across the street to school but, rather, drive from Edgewood to Ft Thomas.

The good Dr/State Rep didn't think enough of the Kenton Cty School Dist. to send his kids there ( A district I might add that his wife was at one time on the Board) nor did he think enough of the District that he was the leader of (Ludlow) to send his kids to that school. Instead he sent them to Highlands. I wonder why? A blind man could see right thru

Given the circumstances, I would have done the same thing. It is every parent's responsibility to do what they think is right for their children. As long as it's within the law I say let them try and see what happens.

It is within the law BigZig, they are following every step of the law to reach the goal at hand. Wether you like it or not is irrelevant, nothing being done is against the law.
