This sounds like something Miss California would be against, but I highly recommend renting bicycles and checking the island out at a leisurely pace. Definately go to Harbor Town and definately check out the fireworks on Tuesday night. There is live music at several places each night, but I'll have to look up some names of the places for you.

That would apply if they were going to Key West.:D

I don't think Savannah is too far from there. Might be wrong. If not then Paula Dean's place is supposed to be good. Lots of great golf down there if you play.

Savannah is about 30-45 minutes from there. Could be worth the drive.

Rider's the place you want to go. A bar with a late night grill. Does it get any better than that?

Salty dog blows.. Harbor town had some a few good places to eat.

We ate at a ranky dank fish place and it was the best lobster I've ever had. I'll look up the name of it for you.

The Salty dog is not fine dining but has good burgers and pizza & apps. and of course cold bevevages, there are 2 other nice restaurants in the same complex as the Salty dog that are good.

A must stop would be the Frosty Frog in Colignia (sp) circle. They sell gallon jugs of frozen drinks that you can take with you. Be careful of the 151 rum drink. It could cause you to miss a day of vacation. Across the street at the Holiday Inn is the Tiki hut. Beach side bar with an acoustical guitar player during the days.

Wild Wing Cafe

:thumb: Good call. Beware of the 151

We ate at a place called the Sea Shack which had pretty traditional seafood fare (fried stuff mostly) but was really good and probably the cheapest seafood you'll find anywhere on the island. Downside: only has about 12 tables and people start lining up for dinner before the place even opens.

We ate at another seafood place with really good oysters but I'll have to think on it for a second to remember the name.

It is in Coligny.

The Tiki Hut is a good spot to hang out and there are 2 sand v-ball courts right there with some ridiculously good players at times.

If you're looking for the best food at a good value, stay away from Frosty Frog & Salty Dog. It's not bad food, but there are better & cheaper alternatives out there.

Old Oyster Factory....great place to eat. So is Marley's and Hudsons. Also there is a Frank Sinatra themed restraurant....Franky Bones, best Filet I've ever had.

Hey! That was it! Old Oyster factory... absolutely awesome (especially if you love fresh oysters on the half-shell). It also had a really good menu apart from the oysters if you're not.

Also, if you do end up heading toward Savannah for a day, I went to this excellent little brew pub called Moon River. I didn't have any of the food, but they had an IPA on tap that they made in-house that was outsanding.

definately check out the fireworks on Tuesday night.

Where do they do the fireworks?
