I know we had talked about them a few weeks back. I was going to try to hold off until this summer to get a new phone but about 1 month after washing half of my best clothes with an ink pen...... my wife washed my cell phone:ohbrother:

I talked work into paying half, the phone place into a 15% discount on the bill because of work and ended up getting one for $100 out of my pocket. I was pretty happy with that deal.

Now for all you out there that know something about them:

1. What are some of you favorite apps and what do they do?

2. I've never had anything apple. Do I have to log onto the website to register before I start downloading apps?

3. I forgot to ask does the apps you pay for go on your bill or do you pay for them with credit card right when you get them?

On #2 & #3:

You have to set up an iTunes account. You will be asked to do this pretty much immediately after connecting a new iPod or iPhone. This will require a credit card, whether you are purchasing anything or not.

That feed directly into question 3, which the answer is it will go on your credit card.

We're thinking about going to AT&T. I've said once we switch plans I will be purchasing a nice phone.

Basically what I want to know is this: is the 8GB enough? What do you like about the iphone? What do you dislike?

What's the bill like?

Work pays my bill and it's still a little tough to see what it's going to be because they prorate if you were with them before. The unlimted text and net I think is $30. Flat out amazing what all you can do with the phone. Battery is garbage! Have to charge it at least every night espeically if you use it as an ipod. I haven't been able to get ringtones on it yet but haven't tried that hard. Apps for everything. A guy at the store said it has a GPS on the golf course but I haven't found that app. I like the visable vote app. You can see what your state legislators are voting on.. vote on the bill how you would like to see it and it tracks it with the guys in office. There is all kinds of things you can do. Camera is nice too.

I bought an iPhone around Thanksgiving-I had a Blackberry Curve and really liked it, but it finally conked out on me. At first I didn't particularly like it, but I really like it now, I'm looking forward to the new update coming out next week-especially the Keyboard thing.

My only problem with it is your hands are kind of tied if you carry an MP3 player, while the phone has one, if you decide to buy a new phone, you have to get a new MP3 player, and if it's an iPod, you run the risk of erasing your library of songs. I wish that you could plug your iPod into other computers and not lose your songs. :ohbrother:

Broke down and bought an Iphone, it was down to it or the Blackberry bold which was 200 bucks cheaper, best $100 I've ever spent. No longer have to carry both my phone and Ipod to the gym, moved my play lists over to the Iphone and its got everything, freaking awesome!
